Me (Lora) - Loves all things stitch and 101 dalmatians!

DH (Mark) - loves Mickey, stitch and belle!

Hello Everyone :wave2:

I am going to put some photos of my holiday / Disney wedding on here over the next few days / weeks. I am not going to do the conventional trip report I am just going to write about the photo and anything relevant to it. I am going to have a thread for MK, AK, MGM, EPCOT, Water Parks, and the Wedding. I will add to each one once I have uploaded pictures etc.

I hope you enjoy them, please feel free to ask any questions etc…

My lovely DH – Mark. When I first met Mark he was very shy, but over the last five years he has become more like me! (I think that’s a good thing? If being more like me is being Disney obsessed  ). He now dances round MK not caring who is watching and that for me is wonderful. I remember in DLP when they do the snow falling bit at Christmas he danced around playing in the snow and he didn’t care who saw him, bless! So anyhow this is him posing whilst waiting for our ferry to come.

This is me on the ferry going to MK, we only did this once as normally we got the bus but we thought we would give it a go. We had fun doing it this way and we saw a wedding being set up at sunset point at the Polynesian Resort. It was nice to see the castle overlooking the lake and it was quite romantic and peaceful. And yes I did the obligatory titanic ‘jack I’m flying…’ routine much to Marks embarrassment!

Another embarrassing moment which I have debated about mentioning but what the heck it’s only my dignity I am putting on the line. When the ferry came I was like a child and wanted to go to the top, whilst running up the stairs (when I should have been walking ladylike) me and Mark heard an elderly couple behind commenting on the view I was giving them from my skirt. Luckily they were giggling and she jokingly taped him for looking but I was mortified, whilst mark was rolling round laughing his head off! The shirt wasn’t even that short it was just the childlike run that made me expose more then what I should have. Oh well with a slightly red face we hid at the top of the boat enjoying the lovely views…of MK that is and not my bottom…oh the shame!

My lovely DH enjoying his boat trip, I just don’t know what it is but going on a boat is somehow more magical then going by bus. I must remember this and do it more next time.

What a welcoming view huh?

Love It Lora and can't wait to see more (of your pics my dear, not your bottom :rotfl2: )

Excellent ~ Can't wait to read more.

Continued…

Hi I am back! The Dalmatian bag is mine, I just got sick of carrying it so my poor DH had to carry it, though I have to say it rather suits him don’t you think? :lmao:

We got married on Monday 5th September, on our week anniversary we decided to go to MK dressed in tops that I had designed and Mickey / Minnie mouse groom / bride ears! (see what I mean by how I have brought out DH inner child, he would never have done that 5 years ago, but he spent all day in his top and hat not caring who was looking…)

Well almost never caring who was looking at him, the only time he didn’t like it was when we were walking down Main Street and we heard the Disney town crier shouting ‘Hey newlyweds’. He darted for the nearest shop throwing me daggers whilst I was looking over my shoulder trying to get the town criers attention (I deserve the limelight once in a while and I weren’t going to miss out on account of my DH shyness). The town crier kept shouting loudly whilst ringing his bell ‘hey guys, look newlyweds’, he then promptly followed us into the shop much to my delight :teeth: and marks horror :sad2: . It was at this point that Mark admitted defeat and stood still, he knew the more he ran the louder the town crier got and the slower I walked to let him catch me up! He came up to us and asked us about our wedding and he seemed impressed when we told him we dot married in Disney only last week. He wished us all the best and made a general fuss over us which I loved. He even mentioned Yorkshire puddings when we mentioned that we were from Yorkshire, he said that he had liked them when he had visited the UK. I could have stood there all day but I knew that my special moment was up and gracefully said my goodbyes (much to my own surprise and Marks relief)

Once he had gone mark started to relax again, I don’t know what he thought the old man was going to do to him, he seemed relieved that the man had only spoken to us! You see that it would be my dream to be the family that get chosen for the opening ceremony at MK etc, I love that sort of thing. Mark however would be trapped in a complete nightmare if it happened, oh well it’s a shame that we were the couple that was picked at MGM’s Beauty and the Beast show for a very public serenade…more on that later in the EPCOT thread…LOL! :rotfl:

Here is Mark standing in front of Cinderella’s castle in his honeymoon outfit, isn’t he adorable? I put Belle on his top as that’s his favourite Disney princess; I also put the time, date and location of our wedding. On the back of his top I had put the lyrics to ‘Tale as Old as Time, this was our first dance song. He also had Jane, Stitch, Simba and another picture of Belle on the back. Don’t you all think he did well to wear such a top?

100_2363.jpg

This is me in front of the castle acting ‘ladylike’ again…yeah right! I am stuffing my face with Cotton Candy (CC). I couldn’t stop my greedy hands from shovelling it in my mouth for all of one second for a picture. Greedy Lora!

Oh that reminds me of another story that maybe I shouldn’t tell but again I will. I became a little addicted to CC whilst in WDW, I ate on average 3-5 bags a day (yes I know that’s just plain greedy, and yes I will probably give myself diabetes but it was just so scrummy!) I would carefully pick the bags up that had the most CC in them (so if you were there last September and saw a girl pondering over the CC bags and lifting them to check size and weight and you were thinking to yourself what a greedy git, well that was me…). After 2 weeks of this ‘diet’ of melted sugar my tummy was beginning to feel a little woozy, did this stop me from eating CC? Yes you guessed it I didn’t. One day whilst at MGM I had to rush to the loo and to my shock my ummm….poop was blue! Maybe I had eaten too much? Nah! I had even bought one night 3 bags of the stuff to eat that night whilst watching a movie. On the walk from the shop to the bus stop, and then the short 20 minute ride home (aka ASMo) I had sneakily eaten the lot! My DH thought I was only eating one bag and was shocked / horrified when he opened the carrier bag and all three bags were empty! In my defence let’s just say that I am with CC what Winnie the Pooh is to honey. Enough digressing for now, back to the pictures (Hooray you think huh? Sorry I do have a tendency to babble…now and again).

This is my DH in front of Thunder Mountain; our first week had been cooler then what it was today. Typical the day we pick to wear out hats etc it’s a rally hot day. My poor DH head was sweating but he kept it on all day to please me (well lets just say when he did take it off for a break he was greeted with scowls from me and quickly put it back on…)

100_2391.jpg

This is me in front of Thunder Mountain; luckily for me the ears aren’t as hot as the Mickey groom ears!

100_2395.jpg

This is together. We had bought a lovely digital camera that allowed us to put it on a timer so that we could have some pictures together. We are sat on some benches near Thunder Mountain. We are in the shade so my DH is happy, and he is getting a well deserved break!

100_2533.jpg

Another picture of us together, can you tell I liked the timer thing? This is us in Cosmic Rays. What you can’t see in this pic but I will try and find for you at some point, is the bag of CC. I stuffed my face just after this picture was taken, is it really true that you put weight on after you get married…?

Hey I have just found the picture!

I am a pig!

This is DH outside the Carousel of Progress (obvious from the picture I know). Now I liked this show. Yes it’s a little dated, and so did DH. I think the shade and a 20 minute sit down help the fact but he said that he actually liked the show too. Let’s all sing it together “its s great big beautiful tomorrow…”

100_2516.jpg

This is my DH on the tea cups. He made it go really fast and I felt sick afterwards (it was nothing to do with the CC)

100_2518.jpg

Me on the tea cups, can I just say that focusing on the ground doesn’t help, I still felt sick afterwards!

To be continued…

Great pics and report ... but how did you manage to stay awake on the Carousel of Progress?! I was in the land of nod before the first quarter spin!

Great photos!! I dont know how you stay so slim eating the CC!! But if you could tell me your secret I will be forever grateful!! ;)

Great trippie. I'm really looking forward to the wedding pics. I'm getting married there next year, I can't wait!
It sounds like you and your DH had a fantastic trip, congratulations on your wedding

Can't wait to see more pictures - especially of the wedding... being a fellow Disney Bride and all :)

Aren't those wedding hats and ears great? We got so much attention - even other guests wished us congratulations :)

Continued…

Hi everyone!

Can I just say to the kind lady who said that I look slim – Thank you! You have just made my day!

Here are a few pictures on the princesses that we met in toontown!

100_0363.jpg

This is my darling DH meeting his favourite princess Belle. This meeting made his day not because he got to meet her; no it was what she said to him whilst stroking his sideburns “ooh you are beastly” then persisted to giggle. He went bright red but had also had a silly smirk on his face. He kept getting me to say that quote for the rest of the holiday as he was that chuffed! Notice on the picture how he stood with her doesn’t he look proud to be stood by her side?

100_0348.jpg

This is my DH meeting another princess – Cinderella. Nothing exciting to report here, though I will mention that we were happy to meet so many princesses in such a short amount of time. We had to queue for about 30 minutes but as a result we met 3 princesses in the space of 5 minutes and got lots of photos and signatures so it was defiantly worth it.

100_0356.jpg

DH meeting Snow White.

100_0326.jpg

Meeting Ariel. DH enjoyed meeting her, when he sat down next to her said “aren’t you handsome”, he loved this and it boosted his ego somewhat!

100_0211.jpg

I loved meeting these two, it was our first day at MK and I was running around like a child on Christmas day, I was so excited and overwhelmed to be finally be here. Every character that we saw, resulted in a mass panic to find my camera, pen and autograph book. As you can Tweedle dum and Tweedle dee enjoyed tugging with my hair, I loved it! I basked in my moment whilst making sure the DH was taking plenty of photos!

100_0195.jpg

This is us meeting Buzz Light-year! We had met Mr Incredible here too.

100_0287.jpg

I love this picture, its my very own stitch! I have bought them but they only sit on a stitch I have back home in my room, for some reason my DH doesn’t want to wear them every second of every day???

100_3367.jpg

I had to buy the fantasmic Mickey drinking straw which we bought in MK from a stand selling cold drinks. Mark initially rolled his eyes as I had bought all the novelty straws going that came with a drink, but by the looks of the picture he seems to quite happy to drink from it!

100_2541.jpg

This is a picture of Belle st her story time show at MK. We really wanted to see this but every time it was on it was too full. On our last day in the MK we were determined to see it so we went very early. We had a choice of any of the seats but my DH made me sit at the back arguing that children will need the front row so that they can see her better. Isn’t he lovely! So we sat at the back and were enjoying a nice sit down, after a while the place was full and we were all eagerly awaiting belle to come and start telling stories. She never came. We were told that belle couldn’t make it. I was heart broken and will defiantly see her next time. This picture is a sly one I took on a different showing whilst walking past, thank goodness for a good zoom on my camera!

We thought Spectromagic was ok but not that great! We had seen the DLP version and we thought that was better. It could have something to do with the fact that we had queued for ages to see it and had become hot and bothered. We had got front row standing positions and had been waiting for a very long time but just before the show started a family came with their buggies and practically rammed us out of the way. We wouldn’t budge much to their annoyance. We were then subjected to loud tuts and how WDW is for children blah blah blah! They did though manage to barge another couple who were next to us and had been waiting longer then us which we thought was out of order! I am not disputing that WDW is for children but it also for everyone else who has paid good money to come. We had taken the time to queue and wait so why should they just turn up and expect the best seat? Sorry if I am rambling but it did annoy me! Any how here are a few pictures. Because of the flash though you see all the metal which you don’t see whilst watching the show!

Hi everyone I have tried to reduce the size of the belle and snow white picture but to no avail? It says of the photo bucket websire that it is smaller, in fact I have reduced them so much they should be smaller then all I my images? Not sure why they have still come up big.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I hope you are enjoying the trip report anyhow so far!

Great report.

I find that the big pics happens to me too, after I've changed the size I refresh my post, seems to help.

Loving your report and photos, Lora :thumbsup2

Sounds like you had a magical time, and the two of you look so happy. :cloud9:
