I popped in before I crash. I just got back from Whole Foods Market in Long Beach. It was worth the hour or more on the road and having to drive on Studebaker as that road triggers my fear of falling or something.
I brought home over $200 in groceries. They had cornbread, bread, buns, cookies, chips, animal crackers (passed on that), fresh veggies, buffalo steak, crackers, salads, salad dressings, and the best thing of all HANSEN'S CANE SYRUP ROOT BEER. It is so weird because it has no corn syrup, good weird as I cannot remember having real root beer. They had Lara bars and this granola like stuff with a giraffe on it. I am so going to pay for the rice crispy bars from Envrionment Kids because of the soy. It has been about 3 months since I was there or was it two months. I spend a lot but I got a ton of risotto dishes that mom likes and some rice dishes. She does not know about the buffalo yet, giggles. They did have Rice Dream and Soy Milk in the single serve cartons.
For those into alternative milk they have oat, hazelnut, rice, soy, almond, and gluten free hemp. They have peppermint chocolate flavour and eggnog flavour Rice Dream. Chocolate almond milk. I was in total heaven and should risk the long drive as I was able to stock up on so many gluten free foods. They had vegan, allergy free, dairy free, and so many labels.
Trader Joe's

as stated is another excellent place to shop for specialty foods.
