We have stayed at the CCI in the past, love the clean and nicely appointed rooms. But, the rooms are not big enough for a family of 5 (5yo, 2yo, 2mo).
THe most important thing for me is that the room is clean and comfortable because we do venture back to the hotel for naps and lunch etc. Also, we would want the hotel to be in close walking distance because we will be using a stroller everyday so the shuttle is not an option. Free breakfast is not a must because I will be bringing lots of food for the kiddos.

What hotels do you recommend? The HOJO, Anaheim Fairfield Inn, Camelot Inn, etc.? Also, if you have any actual pictures of the hotel rooms I would LOVE to see them!!

Thanks so much for all of you help!!!

I have a family of six and most recently (October 2007) we stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites. We had a room that slept all six in beds, one of which was a foldout bed type of thing. Location wise, it's right at the crosswalk on Harbor and thus a very easy walk to the park. They do have a continental breakfast but it's nothing to write home about. We were fine with it and would stay there again. They do have a really large and spacious two (or was it three?) room place available that they don't advertise. You'd have to call on it. This room is located directly above the office and its pretty nice. They also have an indoor pool.

We've also stayed at Park Place Inn and really liked that as well. Same kind of setup as Desert Inn with a slightly better breakfast. Pool is outside. They are located right at the crosswalk on Harbor as well.

I believe the rooms at Howard Johnson might not accomodate five unless you can put one in a crib. They are located a little bit further down Harbor from the other two but I would say that you could still walk. From what I've heard, they also have some kind of King or Queen suite that isn't advertised but is rather large. It's been mentioned on this board somewhere. Nice pool, no breakfast but there are places close by.

Of the three mentioned above, I'd go with PPI or DI as they are closest and may be less expensive. You can find photos of the rooms at the respective website for each, just Google them. Hope this helps.:mickeyjum

Our family of 5 just looooves the HoJo. It has the best pool area for kids, has MiMi's right across the street and has larger rooms than CCI. Plus, if you can get an ent. rate it really saves you some money.

We have a family of 5, and our choice is the Best Western Park Place Inn. Their mini-suites have 2 queen beds and a queen fold-out couch. There is also a small refrigerator and a microwave in each room, and a continental breakfast is included. We have stayed there several times and it has always worked well, clean and very convenient. We don’t spend much time in the room though, it is mostly a place just to sleep and keep our stuff safe.

I must add that the pool here is quite small. You might want to keep this in mind if your kids are the age where you spend a lot of time at the pool.
