Best Golf Course??

I have played lbv, and eagle pines. i am playing palm next month. my goal is to play all five someday. is it worth it? i pay big money to stay on site, and get park hoppers, etc. so, i expect to pay out that kind of money to golf there. for me, it is worth it.

Make sure you let them know you are a resort guest when you check in, they give discounts.

Also, for all of you golfers out there......

In the summer Disney offers a summer pass. For about $135 you can get unlimited golf all summer long after 2:00pm. Even if you only get in three rounds, the thing pays for itself! I do believe you have to be a Florida resident to get this though.

Have called in for tee times as a single and was paired up with another group. It can be quite interesting and informative to be paired up with complete strangers. Some are vacationing , others are playing hookey from meetings. As long as you can have fun, its ok. Usually after 10:00 am the rates decrease. Just ask and they will tell you. Have always had nice people handling my tee times. Enjoy.

I haven't played all of them but out of the ones that I have played, I liked Eagle Pines the best. But as far as price, I guess I was lucky. I never paid more than $35 whenever I played there.

FYI the courses are all scheduled for MAJOR rehab in the next few years.

Palm and Mag are completed.

Osprey will close from May to September 2006
Eagle 2007
and LBV in 2008.

Hope this helps in trip planning.

... Make sure you ask whether they are seeding or aerating the course you choose. Usually they let you know - but the last time he played Magnolia they didn't tell him. Disappointing...!

YES!YES!YES! PLEASE do this and save yourself from potential disappointment! I made ressie for Osprey and was all excited to play. I get to the course and it's "oh, and by the way the greens have been aerated." What? Why didn't they tell us this? Very rude at club house as comment was made "well you don't have to play here." They knew they had us by the $@%%s as everywhere else was booked and what else were we gonna do as the wives were spending the morning at the spa at GF. No reduction in green fee either. Very disappointing as once the greens were reached it was basically pointless to putt. Having played them all I will throw in a vote as to the beauty of OR.

(I should mention that we had a similar thing happen in Myrtle Beach...forgot to mention that greens were being seeded. The people at the clubhouse could see we were disappointed. They got on the phone and got us on a nearby course and picked up half of our green fees making it 1/2 price for us. All this without us even remotely asking for anything and the course we played was pristine and probably better than the one we were scheduled! Disney could learn a lot! But these days they take more of an attitude of "Sorry that's the way it is...DEAL with it!" I did write a letter regarding our experience at Osprey but never did hear back?
