We are surprising our kids with a trip to Universal at the end of the month. We will have 3 days in the park and booked an online pkg, but are staying off-site. My mom is going to join us for I of A on the first day, but she will not have early access, so we won't be using that until the 3rd day when we have our Harry Potter bkfst reservations.

Our 2nd day will be at US. We will get there when the park opens, but is there a good plan of attack if you don't have FOTL? Our kids are 10, 6 and 3 and we definitely want to do all the big rides, even if it's a child swap situation. I haven't been in so long (used to be a FL resident) so I don't remember what to expect as far as lines or what we should try to hit first.

Thanks for any advice! :)

On the studio side, Rip Ride Rocket should be first( if you like coasters) it is new .Despicable me should probably be a close 2nd and will be open by the end of this month. After that Revenge of the Mummy( again another Coaster)

Also it may be more efficient, time wise, to utilize the single rider line if one of you is waiting with the kids anyways. The line for that may be much shorter than the regular line...even if you both go through separately.

go early, use child swap, eat at off times, use the srl, are the basics that will help you.

Pteranadon Flyers is one ride that doesn't have FOTL access and is a very long wait. It fits the parameters of your family in that it requires a child of a certain height and an adult to ride as well but is one that just about all kids love(it's like ziplining but you're sitting not dangling). It's one of our favorites and I suggest hitting that ride before 10AM or you'll be waiting more than an hour after that time.

If you can wait and hit the water rides till after lunch only because it's really cold if you're soaking wet and then trying to eat lunch in an air conditioned restaurant.

Spiderman is also very popular, more so than Mummy because Mummy is more height restricted and scarier therefore limiting for some kids.

Great advice!

P Flyers is a great ride...I got to ride it once with some friends from back home who had a small child. We both enjoyed it!
