Best furniture for the lowest price

I furnished two homes recently. One 14 months ago and the other 2 months ago. Both dd's moved, a year apart. We knew ahead of time the moves would happen. Sooo, we made a master list of things needed to set up housekeeping.

We used that list as we hit garage sales in targeted neighborhoods. As in neighborhoods with 4 and 5 car garages, double income, no kids type places. Managed to fully furnish both places with things like NICE silverware, art work, bedroom suites, pots & pans, lamps of all description, living room furniture, cutco knives (snapped those babies up fast....50 cents each) window treatments & decorative curtain rods, entire kitchens full with geo. foreman grill, bagel cutter, slow cooker, microwave, toaster, nice china, glasses, mugs, fancy crystal , kitchen table/ chairs, dining room table/chairs, ..... you get the picture, over the course of the garage sale season (Spring/Summer) we purchased everything on the list. Plus extra when something 'struck' dd.

Budget for each place was $500 plus time. The time was priceless, I had many, many enjoyable hours of driving and walking with each dd as we hunted for treasures. We did clean/wash everything and store things in the basement/garage until moving day. Next Spring I'll miss the hunt. I' m out of dd's

I have heard people talk about the Haverty's outlet near Commerce, GA. It is supposed to be great. It is about 45 minutes north of Atlanta, off 85. The Haverty's distribution center is there and I think they are selling returns and off pieces.
