As you go up the gangway and enter the ship a cast member asks for your family name and they announce you as you board "The Disney Magic welcomes the *insert name here* family" and a bunch of CMs in the lobby applaud and cheer you onboard! It is cheesy but a great start to the cruise!

My extended family (11 of us in all) from senior citizens to a 13 year old all roadtripped to Washington D.C. from the St. Louis area. We were a servers nightmare in a restuarant. Finding seating for all of us, split tickets, and half of us are picky eaters. Don't get me wrong, we tip extremely well and treat everyone outside of the family with great respect. When we arrived home and were posting the vacation pics to the web for the rest of the clan to see...we set up a web site of "The Hassle Family". I think I will have them announce us as The Hassle Family.
