I live in DC and have been to Disney many times. For my 16'th birthday i want to take my 3 best friends with me to DisneyWorld for 5 days. Im really excited but at the same time incredibly nervous! I'm sure everything will be fine but weve never spent like 5 days in a row together and im worried that too much togetherness might cause a problem...anyone have any tips or advice in general? thanks :)

I took my best friend to Disney last year, we had a blast.

I don't have any suggestions, because you are taking a lot of people and there will probably be a few arguments here or there. Just remember not to let them get you down. :D

i know exactly what you mean, when my and my 2 friends are together doesn't really work out, just make sure eveybody is having a good time and your all including each other. and 5 days isn't that long really but yeah thats my advice not much but something :confused3

maybe do a couple overnights/sleepovers in preperation for the trip? But I wouldn't worry too much about it. Its WDW, I'm sure you guys will have fun together :goodvibes

well i don't think that would be the best idea since you'll already be spending time with them....and what if at the " preparation" they feel like this isn't gonna work out with the three of us...idk that just my opinion :confused3

I am doing the same thing for my 16th B-day!! I am only taking one friend but I am to hoping it works out. I have already prepared here for my one breakdown a trip (I have low blood sugar so sometimes its gets the best of me). But otherwise I think it will be very neat to bring a friend along. Good Luck!!

I took my best friend and her family with me to disney with my mom and brother over the summer. It worked really well for us cause her family was there too so like they had their family time and i had time with my mom and my brother and then me and my friend slept in the same room every night so it felt very slumber-party like the rest of the time. Also our parents let us have pretty much free reign of the parks during the days then we would meet back up with everybody. It was a really good system and we never had any fights or anything.

That probably doesn't help but that was my experience :) it's disney, don't sweat it too much I'm sure you'll have a great time :goodvibes

chloejonas2247: yeah, I know what you mean. but maybe like a while before the trip? I don't know. It could work out :confused3

Tinksbuddy: I'd just go with the flow on the trip and you guys will probably have a good time. Even so, its WDW, its kinda hard not to have fun! I hope everything works out on your trip. And BTW, when is it?

my family and my bestfriends family went to WDW in january of 08. i slept in a room with my bestfriend and my two cousins. there was a little bit of fighting but i think thats only because we were tired and the night before going to WDW, we had a sleepover and pulled an all-nighter and then left at 6:30 AM, got on the plane, we were exhausted and cranky. other than that, it was alright. she complained alot but i didnt let her ruin my fun.

I've taken my best friend to Disney twice, we didn't really run into any problems from too much togetherness, because we're neighbors & we spend almost every day together, we consider her part of the family so when we did argue, it was about stuff that we didn't agree about.

But since you all haven't been together for long periods of time, you may run into some problems...it's only normal though.

I'm actually taking another one of my best friends in February to WDW, but I'm not really worried that we'll run into any problems while we're down there. We haven't spent long periods of time together, but I'm sure we'll be just fine. I know we'll have a ton of fun. (:

I just came back from Disneyworld last week. I went with a bunch of kids in my high school band so a bunch of my friends were there. My advice is to make sure you make plans for everything BEFOREHAND and don't just assume things. I made a mastake and assumed my friend wasn't coming with us to one of the parks and I was wrong. She got really upset and hasn't talked to me in a week. So, just beware, don't take anything too seriously and have FUN!

well tinksbuddy, i think it is really great that you want to share this experience with all of your friends. i think you should be each of them a large gift??? especially your very first friend. i also think that you have no reason to be worried about too much togetherness. If you really are best friends, which i know that you are, you will want to spend all of the time possible. just make sure you tell them everything you can about what you are going to do. also maybe burn them a cd or two of your favorite disney songs?? you could also invite them over for a disney "prep session" where you will give them all the information about the trip, you will tell the the "do's and don'ts", and teach them all you know about disney. everything will be a-okay as long as you make sure they are all equally informed. i think whenever you tell them new information about the trip, you should get them all together and tell them all at once, that way some of them don't fell as they were the last to know. It is also vital to have everything planned out and ready to go, that way there are no last minute anxieties. Finally, just have fun. IT IS YOUR SIXTEENTH BIRTHDAYYY!!!! relax, enjoy, and savor all of the time you can spend with your best friends because they love and care for you....thats what friends do :)
