Best "french fries"...where are they?

I'm talking the big thick "diner" cut type ones. Not the thin, "McD" type and definitely not any of the ones that seem slightly battered, like "BK" fries.
The ones at The Plaza in MK were really good. I just saw a Maya Grill report with a pic of big fat yummy steak fries. What kind of fries do they have at POP? We'll be there in April. Where else can you get great fries in DW? Any pics?

I've never had the fries at Pop but the fries at Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom are fantastic! They are always hot, fresh, crispy and delicious! :)

Don't want to get between a pregnant lady and her food. Thank goodness my wife never craved Figaro fries, or I'd be spending big $$ on flights for fries.

The fries at POP are like most of the CS places. The UK pavillion at Epcot has great fries, or as they call them "chips". Thick cut and typically pretty crispy. They're one of my must get snacks.

Raglan Road at DTD does thick cut fries (what we english call chips)

le Cellier had the same.

Talking a lot about Disney's Fries?
Is this some special dish out there?
Want to have more information about it.

Oh! Thanks, Disney Dad! It's a pregnant ladies dream come true! LOL Oh my goodness! The first pic of the Figaro Fries is killing me. :goodvibes

RIP Figaro Fries, The Plaza currently has the best fries, in my experience all of the other fries are the same (at least in the parks). We used to like the English chips at Rose and Crown but on our last two trips they had changed for the worse. I am going to try Raglan Road's on this next trip.

Ohhh you all had to remind me about the Figaro Fries Miss them soo much :sad1:

I remember the fries at Beaches and Cream being very good. I'm not generally a fan of the basic Disney fry. Casey's Corner is okay when they're fresh - but their smaller, thin cut.

The best I've had is the pommes frites at The Grand Floridian Cafe. So yummy!!

I actually normally forgo fries at WDW because most of them aren't any better (and are usually worse) than what I can get outside of WDW. I use WDW as the opportunity to eat what I can't easily replicate or otherwise eat outside of WDW.

Although they are not thick cut fries, my favorite are the chili cheese fries at Pecos Bill in MK. For thick fries, I also say that they don't get better than at the Plaza. :thumbsup2

OMG! A girl after my own heart:goodvibes. My son says I am a fries snob. I am :rolleyes1 and I am proud of it! Plaza fries are great! Pops fries are coated in something, I don't like them. I just want a potato that is cut and fried is that too much to ask for!? :confused3 Although they are the thin cut fries. I love the ones at WPE and also Yak&Yeti CS. The Poutine fries were great(last time I had them was 2yrs ago) at Lecellier but that may have been more about the GRAVY and CHEESE ;)

Another vote for the Plaza fries! :thumbsup2 Personally, I think the Plaza has the best burger and fries on property, even better than Beaches and Cream (which comes in a solid second).

Oh, and I almost forgot - the chips at Cookes of Dublin at DTD are also great. I love their pies and the pies come with a side of delicious chips - really close to the ones I've eaten in the UK.
