Best food to go with burgers...need ideas!

I was going to ask if everyone was happy with burgers... maybe a few brats or polish just in case.

if it is hot, get some rainbow sherbert and serve in a small glass dish.

this is taking place tomorrow (Sunday). So keep the ideas coming! And great idea on the sausages, we were thinking of getting hot dogs, but I bet the boys will like sausages or brats more. Maybe we can find a sale...

But I'm sort of torn and thinking that Strawberry Shortcake also sounds amazing with fresh berries...

I like this one because I make it with Good Seasons, not mayo, so I don't worry about putting it out under the sun:
Really small pasta - I use Barilla Ditallini
1 chopped yellow/orange pepper
chopped celery
chopped calamata olives
halved grape tomatoes
toss all with Good seasons dressing

Yummy dessert: Ice Cream Sandwich lasagne
Layer ice cream sandwiches
Layer of cool whip
sprinkle with chopped peanuts or heath bars or crushed oreo cookies
drizzle chocolate syrup
repeat
I've never met anyone who didn't absolutely love this!

I've made a variation of that ice cream sandwich dessert, and it was a big hit.

I used neopolitan ice cream sandwiches, smeared hot fudge sauce over them, sliced up bananas and layered THAT on top of the chocolate, then spread crushed pineapple topping on that. Spread a layer of thawed cool whip, then drizzle that with caramel sauce. Put it back in the freezer for a couple of hours, take it out and garnish it with maraschino cherries and chopped nuts, and voila! Banana split ice cream cake! Very easy.

Hey everyone!

We're having friends over for the first time in our new house. Everyone's coming over at 5 for burgers and beer, etc. We're all 20-somethings, and I want to keep stuff not too expensive. So....

Anybody have great recipes to go with burgers??? This is our first time having people over to our first house, so I really want to cook and not just buy bags of chips and call it a day.

P.S. We're in Florida, IT'S HOT!!!

For an appetizer - I love Texas Caviar.

1 can black beans ( I drain and rinse)
1 can black-eyed peas( I drain and rinse)
1 can white corn (drain)
1 can Rotell (I like hot)
1-2 Avacodos depending on like
1/2 onion
Season - I like Crazy janes.

Serve with Scoops.

So easy and everyone likes it. I think it tastes best if you make it the night before (minus the avacodo) and let it sit over night.

If you want another dessert, I would go with melon.

DD had some friends over for dinner tonight and I fixed burgers on the grill, a Caesar salad, corn on the cob, sliced tomatoes, small relish plate and watermelon for dessert. They are only 13, so they aren't too picky!
