Best Flannel? Eddie Bauer, LL Bean?

Can anybody tell me if they like one of these much better than the other?
Of course, this time of year, we are getting tons of unrequested catalogs!!!
DH is looking at some Flannel shirts.

I don't know why, but I have long wanted one of the cotton corduroy big shirts!

Both hubby and I LOVE Eddie Bauer. So very soft and last forever.

Land's End flannel is great. One of my teens gets lots of wear out of his shirts, but they are buttery soft and durable with no pilling at all.

LLBean and Eddie Bauer are both great. I would also recommend the Woolrich brand. Very well-made and will last forever.

I used to buy a lot of Lands End stuff but have found the quality on certain items has gone down in recent years, since they were taken over by Sears. Not sure about their flannel shirts.

Are you finding Eddie's quality diminishing? DH has had at least a handful of items of various types in about the past two years that have had issues, more than one happening on a trip and being very inconvenient, guarantee or no. Discouraging when it's one of our tried and true, old faithful brands.

Like others we've been burned by Land's End and I quit on them several years back.
