Do you tip when ECV is dropped off and picked up?

We do. Mostly because the whole process goes very smoothly. They contact us before our flight and then ask us to text back when we are landing and update time of arrival to resort if necessary. They’re always there 5-10 minutes before the agreed meet time; they have never been late. Always exactly where they said they would be.

Does anyone know?....if they drop the ECV off at the bell service desk of my hotel, do they leave directions on how to disassemble it to fit in the car?

Just for clarification -
if you are staying at one of the WDW resorts, Scooterbug is the only company that is currently allowed to drop off and pick up from Bell Services without the guest being present. If you are renting from another company, you will need to arrange to meet them. They may not have access to deliver to all parts of your resort, for example, right to your room.

if you are staying at an off-site resort (including Swan and Dolphin), there are more options of companies that can leave the equipment at the resort without the guest being present. Check with the company regarding where they are able to leave it and whether they can bring it to your room.
