Best DVC Property Location to MK?

We have always stayed at the Polynesian, but this year we are thinking about renting points in order to get a 2 bedroom villa to accommodate 7 people. We spend most of our time at the MK, and was wondering which property is the best choice.

Wilderness Lodge Villas. It's not on the monorail, but there is a boat that leaves every 15-20 minutes for the MK.

Wilderness Lodge Villas are the only DVC properties near the MK

Boardwalk Villas and the Beach Club Villas are in the EPCOT resort area (and close to MGM)

Old Key West is near Downtown Disney

If you are going to spend the majority of your time at the MK, then the WLV would be the most logical choice. If you are looking for a really neat pool, you may want to consider the BCV and Stormalong Bay. The OKW villas are the largest and the lowest point values. The BWV have a nice pool and great night entertainment (and a great location)

Each resort has something special to offer. Explore each one and see what is best for your family. Good luck!

Is there a boat and bus from WLV to MK or just the boat? I was thinking there were both. You also get the advantage of the electric light water pagent at WLV, right?

Do buses then take you directly from WLV to Epcot, MGM and AK?

Just wondering. We need to try WLV sometime.

I recall taking a bus from WL/VWL to the TTC. I don't think they have a bus that goes up near the MK entrance. You would have to take a boat there or a buss to TTC and then monorail/ferry to the entrance.

Yes they have buses to the other parks directly from WL/VWL.

YES! It was awesome because even on the nights when we didn't make it down to the beach to see it we could still hear the music from our room when the door was open.

The boat also goes over to Fort Wilderness which is nice if you want to do Hoop Dee Doo, Trails End Buffet or Chip n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-Long (although the night we were there we didn't enjoy the ummm talent? She wasn't a very good guitar player or singer) They do show a Disney Movie over there after the Sing a Long too.

You really should try WLV CaptainMidnight. It really is awesome!!!!!!

We spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom which is one reason why we bought at WLV. We like to ride the boat over to MK and back and have good luck with this mode of transportation except on Not-So-Scary Halloween party nights.
