In your opinion what is the best sit down place in downtown disney for two adults? Also we will be attending the cirque at 6:00pm that evening so would a 8:00pm reservation be managable?

First, I believe the show is 90 minutes long but I would check on that to make sure.

As for the good places to eat my DW and I have enjoyed Fulton's, Portobello Yacht Club, Raglan Road, House of Blues and Bongo's at DTD.

I think an 8 p.m. reservation at Wolfgang Puck Cafe would be a great option. :thumbsup2 The show is 90 minutes so you'll be fine with an 8 p.m. reservation.

Everybody will have their own opinions, but personally, I hated Wolfgang Puck. It is a running joke between DH and I now, whenever we see Wolfgang Puck restaurants or products. It's the only meal at WDW I've ever been truly mad about. lol!

We love Raglan Road, though! Great food.

I really enjoyed Raglan Road a lot. However, they usually have a live band and dancers. The food is great and the entertainment is fun. If you want a quiet dinner, you won't get it there.

I say Portobello for a more relaxed meal, Raglan Road for more "action". Both have great food :thumbsup2

I agree with the PP that said "yuck" to Wolfgang..We USED to enjoy it, but now it's awful:sad2:

If you want to do Wolfgang's, I would only do The Dining Room (upstairs from the Cafe), not the Cafe. The Cafe is not very good.

I like Portabello Yacht Club the best for a quiet adult dinner (better than the Dining Room) and the Italian cuisine is more like what I had in Italy than the typical American Italian food. If you are not opposed to a noisy/hectic type of dinner, Ragland Road is fun. The food is typical pub fare--more hearty than elegant.

Our favorites are Bongos and Fulton's. I read mixed reviews regarding Fulton's and was hesistant to try it, but was sooo glad we did! It ended up being the best meal of our last trip in terms of both food and service!

Lot's of good choices, but I would go with Bongos. Great food, great atmosphere and typically smaller crowds. I think they are not part of DDP so you are not really competing with that crowd for a table. Try the Yuca Cups - mmmmmmm!

Fulton's all the way. This place is really good, but expensive. Reglan Road is also very good but it won't be quiet, nor will Bongo's.

on our honeymoon we had a very nice dinner at portobello yacht club. the food was DELISH and the service was fantastic. definitely a more adult-oriented atmosphere. if you like seafood, fulton's is also excellent.

I would not recommend the Dining Room at Wolfgang's. I had an awful experience there - terrible service and even worse food. I was highly disappointed.

It's not a sit-down, per se, but if you want something Wolfgang related, WPE is awesome, if you're up to something more casual. The food there is absolutely fantastic!

I vote Fulton's...unless you don't like seafood....but if you do its outstanding!

House of Blues is a stone's throw away from Cirque, and we enjoyed 1/2 priced apps. and beer specials there after the late Cirque show. (Not sure if that is still happening.)

I would also recommend Raglan Road, which has great food, beer and entertainment. We have been there several times and always enjoyed the food and ambience.

Another vote to stay away from Wolfgang's. We used to go every trip because we loved it...but after the last three times we will never go again! Food and service both terrible!

We still love Raglan Road!

As several other posters have said, either Raglan Road or Portobello. We really enjoy both, but they're very different. It depends on what sort of dining experience you want to have. :hippie:
