Helping a friend plan a trip...of the Disney hotels, which would you recommend for family of 5? (Girls 13 and 10, boy 8) Want to do 2-3 days at park, 2-3 days sightseeing Paris.
We love Davy crocketts but you need a car for there... How will your friend be travelling?
I think you'd need 2 rooms for kids that age or maybe some of the dlp associated hotels may do bigger family rooms, explorers, magic circus etc

By car. They live in Germany and will be driving. Looked at Davy Crockett for them. There are some rooms for 5; otherwise, yes...looks like they'd need two rooms.
We are a party of six and went with the Marriott Village Ile-de-France. It was a bit cheaper than Davy Crockett Ranch, slightly closer and the 3-bedroom unit will give us much more space. The only thing we are really losing is early entry and free parking.
The Explorers Hotel is a good option as well as it does 'crew rooms' added onto the main room.
In other words each room sleeps 4 (Double and 2 singles) and then between each room is a small crew room with bunk beds with connecting door - this is then opened up if you want more than 4.
The hotel has a shuttle bus which it shares with the other 3 hotels on that stretch but is very close - just across the road from Santa Fe.

We loved the Davy Crockett ranch, but if the marriott is cheaper, I would stay there! It's beautiful Although I haven't actually stayed there , only been on a tour , so it's not first hand.
At DCR you have the Blue Springs pool [really nice pool] and Davy's farm as well as the treetops adventure!!1
Decisions, decisions??? My two preferred options anyway
