Best discount for a cash stay at DVC resort?

We are extending our already booked stay in February. The booked portion was with our points and we are adding a few days on cash. Which way have you found to get the best deal - through MS with a DVC discount? though Disney with an AP discount? AAA discount? What timing should we be looking at for booking this?
I called MS on Friday and was told BWV studio w/preferred view was available for our nights in February for $330 per night (DVC discount). We've never stayed there before and wondered what that view was? If that was a good price?
Any advice/suggestions appreciated!

The advantage of booking thru MS with the DVC Member discount is that your ressies can then be linked so you will stay in the same room. If you book through CRO you may have to check out and check in to a different room. At the very least you will have to go down to the front desk that morning to do the "check out" even if they may accommodate you in the same room. No guarantees there.

I'd go with your AP discount if available. It will probably be the deepest discount you can get, unless you should get a postcard or Email PIN code.

When we were in a studio at SSR a few years ago and needed one cash night, I compared the MS discount to AP rate and the AP rate was a slight bit cheaper than the member discount. However, the member discount price includes the taxes and AP rate needs taxes added to it. Could make it a wash. The member discount isn't always available, too.

I've found studios are better with an AP discount. 1 bedrooms are usually better with DVC discount because it's 25% off vs a flat dollar off with AP's ($75 or $100).

When I was adding cash nights to one of our trips , I checked out DVC and AP discounts .

I believe AP was better by about $30 , but for that amount of money I chose to stay with DVC discount and NOT have a chance to move rooms!

The Boardwalk view studios ae not available for cash.

Usually, the cash discounted rooms at the BWV are Pool/Garden views, but occasionally, cash guests are placed in standard view rooms.

In most cases, you will get a view of one of the pools, or the Swan/Dolphin Resorts & canal.

DVC Members cash discount do not include tax, you have to add 12% tax.
MS will take your cc to hold the room, your cc will be charged for the entire amount when you check in.

AAA discount has been a few dollars cheaper or the same as DVC members discount for AKL.

I found OKW, SSR has been the cheapest rooms thru MS, cheaper cash discount then the other dvc resorts.
