Hi All

We will be driving from the Formosa Gardens area. I would love to have the most direct way to travel. Also anything on the way worth stopping for? Such as restaurants, parks, etc...

We have never gone and I want to start planning our trip for Feb. I like to try different places, restaurants and so on.

We have done Disney, USIOA, SW, BG, Old Town, Disney wilderness preserve, fun spot, gatorland, midevil times.

We hope to get a few new things on the agenda for Feb. We are open to anything because it is all good information I can then pass on to our guests. You can never have enough information.

We hope to do the Farris and Foster's Choc family night in Sept. and we have AP's for Disney.

Take I-92 West to 27 South. Turn right off U.S. Highway 27 at State Road 540/Cypress Gardens Boulevard. Park is 4 miles on the left.

We drove from Formosa Gardens area last Dec. Hwy 27 is very slow with stop-lights. It seemed to be a pretty slow drive there with more stop lights than we expected, but I don't think there would really be an alternate way to get there.

Just a little correction. The road through Kissimmee is 192 not I - 92. The Interstate highway I - 4 runs through Orlando to Tampa. You can also take that down to the exit for 27 south or do as mareed said and go to the west end of 192 and take the exit for 27 south.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I-4 meets up with US 27 further south than 192 so it would seem to me that it would be faster to take I-4 get off at US 27 and from there it's close to 30 minutes to Cypress Gardens Blvd.I liked Cypress Gardens, loved it, no,but since you've done all the other major Florida parks go for it.I plan to make a trip out to CG again when their new relocated coaster opens up!!

Thanks for the correction about 192! I actually debated about which one it was! :goodvibes

And I'd probably try I-4 to 27 to avoid some of the lights on 27. You have to backtrack a bit to get to I-4 from Formosa Gardens area (which is why we didn't do it), but it would likely save time since it would cut out some lights. Have fun!

Thank you all.

DOOM101 when does that happen? The coaster I mean.

The Starliner Coaster that was relocated from a small park in North Florida that closed was supposed to open today June 30th but the track and lift hill systems aren't complete and they haven't given a new date for it to open!!

To get on I4S I go to Griffin rd. then take 27 so. to Cypress Gardens BLVD.

Does that lookgood?

isla bonita,
Have you been to Crystal River to swim with the manatees? I didn't see that on your list of things you've done. February is a great time to do that. Your kids would probably love it.
