Best Dessert Where Is It?

:sunny:

Bump....

Sorry to post again but I am going this weekend and would like to hear from a few more people...

Thans,
elvis loves disney

Nobody mentioned the volcano dessert that someone mentioned a while back. Is anyone familiar with it? Is it at Kona Cafe?

Narcoosee's almond crusted cheesecake- YUUUMMMYY!!!!!

The warm chocolate chip cookie sundae at Ghirardelli's (sp) ROCKS! It's a must when we are in Downtown Disney.

It's not on the current menu, but we had it on our Feb. trip. It was at The California Grill. It was a warm Valrohna cake with a molten center, served with coffee ice cream. TO DIE FOR!!!!

The all-time best we ever had was at the Coral Reef. We were there on our honeymoon. This place treated us like royalty. At dessert time they brought us out a huge plate of what my hubby and I call "Death By Chocolate." It was a chocolate flute filled with caramel mousse. On the side it had a chocolate syrup filled Reese cup type thing, and a bunch of strawberries to dip. They told us it was something special they made for honeymoons, anniversaries, and such.

Just subscribing so I can find this one again! Yum!

I haven't been there yet but I understand there is a terrific candy shop ~ Goofy's Candy Kitchen in DTD thats supposed to be awesome. I'll definetly be checking it out at Christmas time.

Chocolate Moose in Canada at Epcot ... but it's on the child's menu. The mousse is the best I've ever had, and has a few raspberries in it, too.

Volcano at Rainforest Cafe ... Ice cream surrounded by chewy chocolate cake and caramel.

Anything at Beaches and Cream!

/
chocolate souffle for two at Shula's (came with vanilla Haagen Daas)

No Way Jose at Beaches & Cream

Fountain View Bakery in EPCOT, by the fountain. The Boston Cream Pie tart is TO DIE FOR, they have fresh baked nestle toll house cookies, and killer cappucinos. We always take a mid-afternoon stop there. Soooo good.

The Volcano at the RFC wasn't to great both times in Dec the brownie seemed stale.

Favs
1. Norway @ Epcot, shame shame for no one mentioning this one.
2. France
3. Kona Cafe
4. Le Cellier- Maple Creme Brulee
5. Boma- Zebra Domes and tiramesui (spelling?)
6. No Way @ Beaches and Cream

Sticky Toffee Pudding from the R&C and anything from The French Bakery, plus here are two from the "not likely candidate list", but I thought they were worth mentioning: the Marrakesh Delight from Morocco and The Apple Pie from CHH.

What is the Marrakesh Delight? Do you happen to have a picture? I'm eating there in a few weeks for the first time.

Sorry, no picture but it is a bowl of fresh cut fruit (melon, berries, apples) with a scoop of mint ice cream and a splash of orange blossom water. Very refreshing and delicious! Our whole meal and experience there was excellent (try the lamb and lentil soup!!) and I can't believe I was hesitant about going! I'm sure you will enjoy it. I did a whole dining review (our trip was 9/4 to 9/14) if you want to dig it up. Have a great trip!

We special-ordered the Cinderella's slipper at the Grand Floridian. Yummy!!!!

My vote is for the Linda's Fudge Cake at the Cheesecake Factory counter in Disney Quest. This has got to be the best chocolate cake on the planet. The slices are huge...enough for two people. Well worth it!

Fresh Ice Cream Sandwich- Main St. Bakery
Elephant Ears and Coconut Pyramid - Bakery France

OMG!! We have been wondering if we could get elephant ears at WDW. Where is this bakery in France? We can't wait to try one!! :flower:

Anything at Beaches and Cream

Toasted Coconut Ice Cream (not sure what its called but delicious!!!) at Ohana's

Superbowl Sundae at ESPN

Dole Whips in MK

I have to agree with eclectics, the applie pie at CHH in the MK is the best!

agotta, what is a coconut pyramid? I just love coconut and it sounds delicious!

Hard to describe, but very good. Kinda like a macaroon withouth chocolate, but they aren't that chewy. Here is a picture of them:

I can't believe no one has mentioned Liberty Tree Tavern yet! My family indulged in many of the most popular dessert restaurants on our trip (dessert is the highlight of our meals at WDW), so I think I can add quite a bit about this one. We've had creme brulees practically everywhere (except Downtown Disney), the best ones were probably the maple creme brulee at Le Cellier, the key lime creme brulee at CRT, and the roasted strawberry creme brulee at Brown Derby. We've had the bread pudding at 'Ohana (ok, but not great in my opinion), the Cinderella's slipper dessert, the mini wedding cake and castle cake (both also ok but not great - they look better than they taste).

The best overall restaurants for dessert on our trip in September were Coral Reef, Tony's Town Square, Kona Cafe, and Liberty Tree Tavern. Liberty Tree Tavern won hands down for taste, especially with their homemade (or homemade tasting) ice creams that accompanied each amazing dessert. The chocolate lava cake with cherry ice cream was wonderful as was the butter griddled pound cake with pecan caramel sauce. And although I didn't get the chance to try it, my sister ordered the apple tart which turned out to be a small-medium sized pie with shortbread crust and cinnamon ice cream, and it was her favorite dessert of the entire trip. It looked amazing and it was my sister's favorite dessert of the whole trip. Kona Cafe wins for presentation. I ordered the new citrus mousse dessert there last time and it was very good. The new Celebration citrus trifle dessert at Rose & Crown was very good too. Oh, and I'll second the Dole Whips, especially the Dole Whip Floats - they're very refreshing and we can't leave WDW without getting one.
