Hi! I wanted to get some opinions on what is the best deluxe resorts for kids. I will be relying on WDW transportation so that's pretty important.

mk will be your park of choice - with kids that age so either Polyn (deluxe) or VWL (hafh - DVC)

if these are too much money still love Pop Century.

Hey Pat,
We actually loved your home resort, OKW when our kids were young. We found that they had very reliable bus service and we loved returning to a peaceful resort after a long day in the parks (we go in August and it always felt cooler and quieter there). Pools were never, ever crowded.

yea definitely love the quiet pools at oKW. now the main pool has a slide - so is pretty popular with the kids these days.

but still comparing it to the other resorts - it is definitely quiet, relaxing not to mention friendly. feels more like a community than a WDW resort.

some people love this, others hate it.

I just came back in Sept from a stay at OKW and LOVED it! I just wanted to try something diffrent this time. I was thinking about the Beach Club since surprising enough, we spent a lot of time in Epcot. My son just loved the Living Seas Pavillion.

I think I would pick Saratoga Springs. It looks calm and peaceful, and just the place I'd want to return home to after a long day in the parks. :)

I would go with Beach Club or Beach Club Villas. Storm-A-Long Bay would be great for the ages of both children. You have a zero entry sand bottom pool, lazy river, waterfalls, slide, etc. Plus, you have the convenience of being able to walk to Epcot and take a boat or walk to MGM. Its just a change of pace from relying on the buses all the time. In addition, you are in close proximity to the boardwalk to walk or boat over to there.

I would have to say AKL for the deluxe because their bus transportation is great. They dont share with other resorts. It is a unique experience with all the animals right outside your balcony.

For a villa I would go with a 1BR villa at either BC or BW due to location. BC for the pool for the kids. We did BWV and fell in love with the Epcot area.

I would choose AKL for the overall unique experience and I would choose the villa for the extra space, washer/dryer, and location. It is really a toss up IMO.

I have honestly only had bad transportation at one resort so far. That being the WL but the hotel itself was very nice.

For the easiest transportation with young children I would go with any of the monorail resorts (Contemporary, Polynesian or Grand Floridian) or Yacht or Beach Club (also has the best pool!).
