Best dayin late Oct for Mickey's not so scary halloween - and is it really worth it??

I'm a newbie and just need some tips on the best nite we have a choice of Friday, 10/24 or sunday 10/26 - which do you guys think would be less crowded? We will be scratching other dinner plans to do this and I really would like to know if it is worth it with our 5 and 8 year olds?

Might it be more crowded this year with the special promotional packages that were available? Also, will late oct make it that much more crowded?

The rule of thumb is that Fridays will be busier than Sundays, due to local participation. The FTP might make it a bit busier, but they almost doubled the number of nights - first MNSSHP is 10/3 this year - so that should compensate. And yes - with costumes, funny/spooky decorations and trick or treating, your 5 & 8 should love it!

(PS - With all the talk about Fridays being busy, I'm getting a bit concerned about our tickets to the very first MNSSHP of the month ... I was expecting no lines and walk-on priority to all the rides! Tell me I'm not dreaming!)

It is defiantely worth it!! It is great!!
We went in 2001, and loved it. We will be there this year on the 24th, and I am with scarletindigo in hoping fridays wont be too packed!! I know from our last party to be prpeared to stay late, after about 10 o'clock the place really emptied out and we walked on almost everything!!!
We will be happy if it doesnt rain on us this year, as it was pouring last time!!
