Best day to visit the beach during 1 week visit in Aug?

Hello! My wife and I will be visiting Disneyland Sunday 8/21 through Friday 8/27. This is our first trip to So Cal and we want to visit the beach on one of the days.

We also plan to do the "Walk in Walt's footsteps" tour on a different day. We figured that we would do WOC later on the same day as the tour. With those two events, we don't expect to get much else done on that day.

We understand that the parks will probably be most crowded on Sunday. Not sure about good beach days (we planned to take then "The OC Beach Bus Tour"). I assume it would be better to hit the beach on Sunday and do the walt tour later in the week.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I would skip DLR on Sunday Aug 22 for sure. That makes it a good beach day. If you have all day Aug 21 that is AP blocked and you should focus on the parks (not good for Walt tour). Best time for WOC depends on how you do it. FP, dining or picnic?

Thanks HydroGuy! So we'll do the beach day in Sunday. For WOC, we were going to do the dinner @ Ariel's...

OK, so here goes...

Sat Aug 21 - if you have all day then do the parks and focus on rides
Sun Aug 22 - beach
Mon-Thurs - Do WOC and Walt tour whenever you want. No real advantage I can see choosing one day over another. All days will be busy for WOC with the AP blockout lifted on aug 22. I would WOC on Friday because SoCal APers tend to come more on Fridays and Sundays.

That makes sense. We'll do the beach on Sunday. WOC probably on Wed. Walt on Thursday or Friday...

Thanks again for the input Hydroguy :thumbsup2

Tip for the tour-- If you have a AAA membership, you can get a 10 or 15% discount. The tour is awesome. We did it a few years ago, and the lunch/dinner was excellent, the facts and little tidbits were interesting, and we got on a few rides as well. If I remember correctly it was 3 or 4 hours, so even with the WOC in the evening, you should still have time to wonder around the parks on your own.

Same thing for Disney VISA holders
