Best day to use MMH?

I know there have been threads on this, but the search is down. We are trying to decide which day to use the extra hours. We are there on a Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue and Wed. It seems like Sat or Sun would be the best bet, since we are early risers and always get there at least 20-30 minutes before the gates open. It seems like a lot of people do not manage to get up early enough on the 7am morning. Is that false reasoning? Does anyone know if the Saturday or Sunday is busier with the MMH?

Any advice is appreciated.

In my experience, either of those days are great for MM hours and didn't notice a difference in the crowd size. You may be fresher and more rested on Sat since it's your first day?

IMO if your going back to back days, it might be tough to get up early if you stay till 1am. You are right that many people don't seem to utilize the early morning hours, MM or not.

In our experience going on the days that open earlier were less crowded. I agree with the thought that not many people get up that early.

Saturday and Sunday should both be fairly un-crowded "Magic Morning"/early entry days. In summer 2009 we chose Sunday over Saturday because Sunday was not a blockout date for some APs, but Saturday was. Our reasoning was that if we arrived at the gates shortly before opening on Saturday, the entrance line would be shorter than if we arrived shortly before opening on Sunday. But by using Magic Morning we could skip a long entry line on Sunday.

Anyway, on SUNDAY we arrived at the bag check area around 6:42 AM and actually had to wait a while before they opened up bag check.

I think Saturday or Sunday would have been about equally busy. Some folks here advise to do your Magic Morning at your earliest opportunity. I don't disagree with that logic, but taking another tack just might work better for your situation.

Thanks so much for all the responses! We are coming in on Friday evening, but are only doing DTD for dinner and a little shopping, so I think I agree with DangerMouse that we will go with Saturday since we will be refreshed, and as Raindown says, we won't be tired from a late night before. And Eeee-va, thank you so much for the photo! It was an extra boost to my excitement!!!

Generally if there are two MM days offered during your trip, but you only have 1 MM to use the best day to use it would be the first possible day. So if you were going to the parks for a very long weekend (Saturday-Tuesday) and you only had 1 MM, you would have to choose to use it on Saturday, Sunday, or Tuesday. My recommendation is to use it on Saturday because by the end of your trip you WILL be more tired and less inclined to wake up early. Also, even though crowds on Saturdays and Sundays will be greater, it is better to choose these days (if possible) than weekdays during offseasons. This is true because the parks open sometimes 2 hours earlier on the weekends than on the weekdays and less people will want to get up for MM at 7AM on a Saturday than 9AM on a Tuesday.

That was my question too. We are going to be there Sunday thru Wednesday. I wonder if Sunday will be crazy being Easter.
