Best day of the week for a Resort day

We are heading to WDW in early August. 5 days in the parks, and have time for a full resort only day. Any advice on which day of the week is "best" for a resort only day? I know crowds are kind of a mystery right now, but would like to know what people have done in the past. We are traveling tues-tues so I was thinking maybe a weekend day is best? Fri. vs. Sat. vs. Sun.? We are staying at CBR so hoping to take advantage of the great pool and maybe Riviera for food that day!

I would do your resort day on a Saturday or Sunday. Crowds are typically higher on weekends.

We’ve always done our resort day in the middle of our vacation. So if we were there from Sat. to Sat. then we’d relax and have our resort/pool day on Wednesday. If you go Hard at the parks for a couple or few days, we’ve found the break in between reinvigorating.

We like to take it mid-trip, however I can see where Saturday and Sunday are the best on missing out on crowds (locals).
