best day if the week for IOA

My mother, daughter and I are going to Orlando from May 2-11. Most of our time will be spent at Disney but we will be spending at least 1 day at IOA. Is there a day of the week when crowd levels are lighter at this park? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also I am reading some about express passes, are these like the Disney fastpasses? Are they worth it at this time of the year? I ordered our tickets online, can we just add them when we get to the park or should I try to order them online when we decide which day we might be going to Universal? Sorry about so many questions but we have never been to IOA and don't know what to expect.

Last year, the beginning of May wasn't crowded at all .. I would suggest something mid-week for IOA, though I'm never picky on what day at what park, so possibly something mid-week would be ideal. Express passes were removed, unless you stay onsite .. and then you would get FOTL (express pass unlimited basically) or you can get Express Pass plus, which allows you express once per ride, which wouldn't be worth it this time of the month IMO.
