This will be our first trip to HHN during Halloween week. Is anything special done on Halloween day? Should we avoid that day or try to go on Halloween day? Last time we did an RIP Tour and it was great so we will probably do that again this trip.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Nothing special is done during the day for Halloween.

As far as HHN crowds go, Halloween night is historically less crowded than the weekend before. So if you're to be there with the possibility of going to HHN on either 10/28 or 10/31, I would recommend going Halloween night.

I too have heard that Halloween night is not that packed - most people go before then.

I think Thurs, Fri, and Saturday are busier. Sunday and Monday are less crowded (and tickets cost less)

We try to go down on Saturday and leave on Tuesday -- and then do HHN on Sunday

HHN is only staged on a Monday when Halloween is on that day otherwise...nothing. Two years ago the last Sunday night was so busy you could hardly move. :crowded:

thurs and sunday are non peak nights, or have been so up thru 2011.
those tickets are the cheapest.

sunday before columbus day is not a low crowd night.

closing time was changed on that to 1:00 am due to the crowds.

Fri/Sat = peak nights. They are supremely busy to the point of making you wish you were a zombie. Or have an RIP tour or HHN Express
Thurs/Sun = non-peak, but not slow. Since 2010, they have been open until 1am.

Wednesdays usually aren't too busy, though Halloween Night may prove different. Closing scaremonies often happen on this date.

In the past couple years, as locals get wise to Frequent Fear passes, I've found Sundays have become the second busiest night of the week, behind only Saturday (or Wednesday during "Hell Week"). Thursday remains the least crowded night--relatively--while Fridays have been surprisingly slow, at least before 9:30 - 10.
