Best day and parade spot

We'll be in town Monday 8/31 thru We'd 9/2....anyone have a crowd calendar for those days or advice on which day may be the best to visit? We're just doing one DLR day on this quick trip.

Also, where do you like sitting for the new parade with the least amount of wait time? My family wants to see it but is not interested in staking out a spot for a large amount of time since we'll only be there one day.

I think there is an AP event the evening of 8/31, so DL should close early that day. DCA should stay open later, but since you only have one day for DLR, I'd choose one of your other days. You will have less wait time if you see the second parade, but if you want to have a seated viewing spot, there will still be some waiting time involved.

Their website says the hours are 10-9 on all 3 of those days. We are also there during that week.
