My boss and his family are taking their first trip to WDW and I'm helping him plan. Can anyone tell me which are the best CS places at DHS to grab lunch? We don't ever eat CS meals at DHS because there doesn't seem to be any good choices. Any recommendations?

Thanks!:)

Most of the CS food there is mediocre, if they have kids, Toy Story's Pizza Planet is always a good choice.

I agree, very mediocre for CS. They do have kids and how badly can one mess up pizza? Thanks for the suggestion.

Best CS in DHS - none. They are all pretty bad. If you must, go to Staring Rolls.

I know it doesn't get the best reviews on here, but my family and I enjoy the ABC Commisary and never found anything wrong with their food.

We have found all the CS places in DHS pretty icky. Even the pizza at Pizza Planet was terrible. :sad2: If for no other reason other than choices, maybe the places on the left before TOT & RnR(can't remember the specific names)? We had a couple of burgers there and they were edible. :)

I have gotten consistently good food at Starring Rolls Bakery. Their deli sandwiches are very fresh and very large. Two people can easily share them. It's not Perry's of Chicago (my favorite) but it is the best around. You also have alot of dessert choices there. This is the only place I will eat at DHS.

I see there is a new BBQ place that recently opened, Fairfax Fair or something like that. I have read good reviews of the ribs there.

Still, SRB is one of my favorites on site; and it is the only place to get a good deli sandwich.

I'm with you 100%, we eat there every trip and have always enjoyed it.

I liked Starring Rolls and the ABC Commisary. I STRONGLY disliked Pizza Planet. It is always crowded, pizza choices for the kids CS meal are w/o pepporoni, and if they have kids like mine, the arcade is something they will want to spend a ton of time in. I refuse to go there again. My kids wanted to go because they thought (and so did I) it would be like the Pizza Planet from Toy Story....not so much.

We have done Backlot Expess on our last two trips, nothing fancy but is OK for lunch. In fact, last week we sat outside & watched the Jedi Training next door. Also, they have a fountain so you can refill your drinks!

We always end up at Toy Story's Pizza Planet, the only place I would eat CS at that park.

Toy Story Pizza Planet is where we have gone for the last 2 years. The Food is pretty good for counter service.

DHS is not our favorite park for CS, either but we have found both the Backlot Express and the ABC Commissary tolerable.

DHS is not our favorite park for CS, TS, or food in general. ;) I would say Toy Story Pizza Planet if you have to eat something. Usually we go in the morning after eating a big bfast and then either park hop to a different park, walk/take the ferry to the BW and eat at Beaches and Cream, or go back to our hotel in the afternoon.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Looks like Starring Rolls would be a good option for them. My boss pictured Pizza Planet as being like the one in the movie so I'd think it would be a disappointment.

As for TS, I had a tough time recommending a place for FDP but ended up going with the Brown Derby. At least the food is pretty good although never again would I burn 2 TS credits there.
