Best credit/reward card for air travel?

I will be doing more flying than usual and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of rewards/credit cards that might help me save some money on flights. I missed when Southwest was running their free companion deal. Thanks for any help.

I have both the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the Hilton American Express Aspire ($450 each per year). They are both great travel cards for different purposes but the Reserve is better overall. If you travel enough, these cards easily pay for themselves.
