Best credit card for "free" car rentals with Hertz points?

I have been stashing up Hertz points for the last year and finally have enough for a 2 week rental for our fall trip. We currently only use 2 credit cards-Chase Freedom and Disney Visa and neither card covers Auto Collision unless the entire balance of the rental is paid with the card so the coverage is waived if you use points (which I think is completely unfair!!) I read that Amex actually refers to using points in their coverage verbatim and still offers full auto coverage even while using points as long as the applicable taxes are charged to the card. For anyone who has used Hertz points or "free" rentals in the past--what card did you use? I am not sure if its worth getting another credit card or if we should cross our fingers and go without the extra coverage relying solely on our personal auto insurance. We do rent at least a few times each year. Thanks for any and all advice!!

CSR/CSP provides full primary coverage on your vehicle in the United States.

most travel cards provide secondary if you rely on your personal auto. i have a citi premier that sits @ secondary in the US. It does go to primary if you rent a car not in the United States.

My Chase Freedom is also worded like this but after some research I decided to call and did confirm that Visa will only provide secondary coverage if the entire balance is paid on the card. I read through a friends Amex benefits and they actually say something along the lines of "paid in full on card or taxes paid on card for rentals free with points." I'm not sure if it is an Amex only thing so I thought I would see what other DISers do and figured this was the best forum to post in!

Any other advice besides Amex? Someone on the Budget Board must use Hertz points for free rentals :)
