Hi. We leave in a month. I've only scheduled one table service meal at La Hacienda in EPCOT. I only scheduled one because my 6yo and I just don't eat enough to justify the pricey costs of the meals. He also just can't sit still that long. We will mostly be doing counter service. What are the best vegan counter service dishes at the parks? We are staying at BLT. thanks!

I've read very mixed things on La Hacienda for veg people. I haven't eaten there since going ovo-veg but went a month ago and had a great TS vegan meal at Sci fi, even with vegan oreo milkshake! Via Napoli was a very delicious vegan pizza, salad, and bread as well.

Cosmic Ray's in MK was awesome if you like veggie burgers (hellllooo toppings bar!) and french fry-type meals. Then Columbia Harbor House had a delicious hummus sandwich (omit broccoli slaw).

Also in EPCOT the Tangerine Cafe has a veg plate and Japan has something vegan as well.
In AK there's a whole vegan stand with edamame and other things.

Thank you!

I chose that restaurant so that I'd have a chance to view illuminations. My special needs kiddo has sensory issues and hates the loudness of fireworks. Being in there behind the glass was supposed to help. I hope I can find something even if its just chips and guacamole.

Pecos Bill's also has a yummy vegan burger and nice toppings bar. Gaston's tavern has hummus and pita chips, and fresh fruit and veggies. BoG is also counter service at lunch, and the quinoa salad is very tasty and the environment is so lovely. Also at Columbia Harbour House, the veggie chili is great, and you can get sides of steamed broccoli and couscous. I have also heard that their apple pie is vegan, but I haven't tried it yet :) Tortuga Tavern at MK, when it is open, has a burrito you can have made vegan, with rice and beans.

Another thumbs up for the vegan cart in AK! Its on the path to Asia, and I think it's called Bradley Falls.

We love love love Sunshine Seasons in Epcot for fast veggie options. Quite a few items to choose from.

In HS, we love the grilled veggie sandwich at Backlot Express (sub the multigrain bun and ask for no pesto to make it vegan). We also just had a wonderful meal at 50's PT - whole wheat spaghetti and meatless meatballs.

Have a wonderful trip! We will be there in JUST 5 DAYS!!!:cool1::cool1:

Its nice to here this. I know someone who brought all of their food because she claimed that Disney wouldn't do anything for her vegan family except offer vegetables. I found that hard to believe and now I know I was correct. Maybe it was more that they also don't eat genetically modified foods, non-organic, gluten, or sugared foods either.
