We are economical eaters. I want to make note of the best low cost meals in each park. Thanks for your help! :thumbsup2

The ABC Commissionary in MGM was pretty good. I also liked the fact you could get healthy options at BB - we had a chicken caesar salad. Yummy!

Not sure about everywhere else, we weren't in the parks long enough to warrant a counter service meal and a table service too! :goodvibes

If you like hamburgers,Pecos Bill's in Frontierland has the best of all 4 parks.
Flame Tree in AK has wonderful BBQ sandwiches.

I'll second Peco Bills, it is the first place we head to for a hamburger. Although I don't know that any of them are cheaper than the next. It just seems that the burgers are better there.

I would agree, Pecos Bill's has the best burgers in the parks. Our little ones also enjoy Pizza Planet. (They prefer the games to the pizza)

Def. Tusker House, rotissere chicken & mashed pot/gravy & green beans (gasp!) are great value.

Col. Harbor House still good & nice atmosphere but, sorry to see chowder bread bowl disappear off menu.

ABC Comm is okay, but doesn't have the chicken strips my youngest likes, so we endure Backlot Express.

Starlight Rays has "dumbed down" their menu too, now mostly hamburgers & chicken strips, disappointing IMO.

2Questions:
1)Wonder why it's difficult to just grab a non-grilled deli sandwich @ Disney as a CS?

2)When did the DP quite allowing a Turkey Leg,Chips&Drink as part of CS? We were able to use it in June but not last week?

Seasons at Epcot (The Land pavillion) by far.

A tad more expensive than other counter service restaurants but well worth it. Good variety of items, great taste, none of your standard theme park foods. In fact, I don't even know if they serve fries. Awesome desserts.

I agree with this these are the same two that I like best. :thumbsup2

MK - It depends on what we're in the mood for. Pecos Bill for burgers (I miss the corn relish they used to have!), or Cosmic Ray's for chix caesar salad and yummy soup.

MGM - Backlot Express

Epcot - we usually eat at Seasons but I don't like it as much since they redid it. They used to have an excellent veggie lasagna that I really miss.

AK - have only eaten at flame tree, will try Tusker House next time.

The counter service in The Land, Rose and Crown counter service, Columbia Harbour House, Toy Story Pizza Planet, Tusker House, Flame Tree BBQ. Oh and at Downtown Disney--Wolfgang Pucks fast service restaurant is REALLY GOOD! We are economical eaters also.

For the economical part to your question, Pecos Bills is great for burgers and it is even more great when you can order a double burger/cheeseburger and an extra bun for about a buck and get 2 meals out of that. We did this twice for our family and saved a bunch. Anywhere that serves the double burgers - you should be able to get the extra bun.

My favorites, and not necessarily in this order:

- Seasons (The Land - EPCOT): Unique food choices, a little more expensive

- Yakitori House (Japan - EPCOT): This is a hidden gem near the koi fish pond

- Tusker House (AK): Relatively healthy alternative, good food

- Earl Of Sandwich (DTD): CHEAP PRICES, good sandwiches/salads, long lines move quickly

- Casey's (MK): They have THE BEST hot dogs...don't know which I like better, the chili dog or with saurkraut!

MK: Pecos Bill's

AK: Tusker House

MGM: Dunno... never had a CS meal there!

Epcot: The Land, Yakitori House

MK - Casey's; Cosmic Ray's; others are OK too

MGM - Backlot Cafe; Pizza Planet

AK - Pizzafari; Tusker House

Epcot - (FW) Electric Umbrella ; (WS) Harry Ramsden's Fish and Chips

We always make a point of going to Columbia Harbor House in MK. If they have the upstairs open, it is usually empty and quiet. We get a window seat and watch the crowds go by.

I do not like the land in Epcot. I'm a picky eater and they had nothing for me.

Another vote for Tusker House, this was economical too since they give you so much food it will satisfy 2 or even 3. CS w/ drink is 9-11$, so 4.50-5.50 apiece for 2 people. Desserts are spendy though. (We did get them on DP & they were good).

In Epcot, I haven't tried nearly as much as I would like to.

the Patisserie in france has a ham/cheese croissant for 3.50, they will heat it for you. Their other offerings (desserts, mostly) are awesome. Love that place.

Fish & Chips at Rose & Crown is also good, but a little expensive (7$ I think w/o drink).

The food court in the Land is very good, not std burgers, same price ranges & food quantities as Tusker House.

Also both the Land & Tusker House had very nice children's meals for only 3.99, w applesauce, carrots, or grapes plus beverage (juice, milk) plus entree for 3.99. In cute mickey plate.

Had a pulled Pork sandwich in MGM, not sure which restaurant, that was good, 6$. Pizza Planet was ok but very expensive, 10$ pp.

The hot dog place w/ fries etc across from Fantasmic entrance was not bad.

Really didn't like any MK CS that I tried. Didn't get to go to Cosmic Ray's or Pecos Bill's, which I heard are good. We had stuff from Casey's which I didn't care for & turkey legs which I am not a fan of either.
