Best Counter Service @ both parks

Where is a good place to eat at Islands and Universal? I'm looking for counter service not a table service restaurant. How are the kids choices at the parks?

At IOA the one in the Jurassic Park section is really good, Terrace Falls I believe, at Universal, harder call, most I eat over there are table service. The counters at U are mainly typical, you have to do table to get a quality meal in Universal IMO, unless you are into burgers, hotdogs etc. The 50s diner kind of across from Terminator is OK. I forget exactly what its called, but its an old style diner type of restaurant, kind of 1950s throwback.

Thunder Falls Terrace and the Three Broomsticks are favorites for us at IOA. We usually just grab a burger at Richters when we're at the Studios but we've had decent food at Louie's too.

At IOA...Thunder Falls Terrace, The Burger Digs and Blondie's are good.

At the Studios...Louie's is the only place I would recommend for counter service. Mel's is hit or miss.

Is Wimpy's any good for a burger? My son is a HUGE fan of Popeye & we are planning on grabbing lunch there...more for the 'place' than the food.
