I apologize if this question has been asked a gazillion times but my Mom just informed me she wants to rent an electric wheelchair or scooter for our Disney trip - in 3 days! Gah! Nothing like last minute notice!

I do see the various companies recommended on Disney's site, but wanted to ask if anyone had any positive or negative reviews of any of them. I need to make our reservation asap so any input good or bad is appreciated.

Thank you!

1. Unless your mother has her own power wheelchair at home, most agencies will not rent one to her. They are very difficult to operate safely without a lot of practice.

2. The FAQ sticky at the top of the page has a list ofboff site agencies that will rent ecvs. I use a chair, vso can't help with an ecv recommendation.

I have used Walkers, Scootaround, Buena Vista , and Randy Mobility. I would recommend you look at the websites and see the what hours work best for you. If you have an early or late flight you want to go with a company that has a relationship with Disney Resorts. Otherwise, you need to be present to get the ECV they will not deliver it to the hotel otherwise. They are about the same price. Look at the price of the insurance on the chair. If you are concerned with possibly denting something or breaking the light make sure you get the insurance.
