Best Comfort Food: Hoop Dee Doo vs. Liberty Tree?

Pretty self explanatory topic: If judging on food alone and not atmosphere/entertainment, which place has the better comfort food?

OR - Do you suggest a different restaurant?

That's a really hard question! They both offer all-you-can-eat comfort food. They both have a mass-produced, low-quality, appeal to the food. So it kind of depends on which you find more comforting: fried chicken and ribs or turkey and pot roast. I've personally given Liberty Tree a break because I'm tired of the lousy service (the kitchen is far away, so it's often hard to find your server).

Honestly if you aren't going to Hoop Dee Doo for the show, then you might as well just eat the same food for half the price next door at the Trail's End Buffet! It's got one of the best price points of any of the Buffet's on Disney property and it literally serves food from the same Kitchen as Hoop Dee Doo, so you still get the amazing chicken and Ribs plus extra's! We discovered it on a trip 5 years ago, and we have gone every single trip since to eat there.

Homecoming has the best comfort food at WDW. If I had to choose between the two I would choose Liberty Tree. I would rather stick a needle in my eyeball before being subjected to HDD again.

I totally agree with this. If you aren't interested in paying for HDDR, go to Trail's End. They are right next to each other. Food is good and you get the Ft. W experience.

I'm not a big fan of LTT.
