Have you ever had an outstanding experience with a CM?

I once got a flat tire on may into AK after waiting in contstruction traffic on I-4. I couldn't figure out how to remove the locking lug nut on the rental car. My toddler was screaming, I was sweating, and my in-laws were waiting in the park to meet us. Our stress levels were skyrocketing. I got back in the car and drove into the lot on the flat tire. Once we were in the lot we saw that the were guiding everyone in a big circle to the otherside of the lot. The smell of burning rubber told me the wheel wasn't going to make it that far so I just crossed over the cones and pulled into the nearest paking spot. Well, about four different Disney vehicles descended on us in seconds as if we had just robbed a bank. I thought I heard someone scream "Out of the car with your hands up!" but I'm sure that was my imagination. Anyway i yelled that I had a flat tire and couldn't they just leave me alone. My tirade extended beyond that and they dispersed back to their assigned spots. My wife was looking like she was considering claiming that she didn't know me. One CM stayed. I assumed he drew some sort of instant short straw that left him to deal with the crazy guest. He saw my 2002 U.S. Open golf shirt. He asked if I was from Long Islan, that he grew up in the same town as the golf course and started asking me if some local favorite places were still there. Turns out we grew up about 2 miles from each other. Once I calmed down He suggested that I try again. Sure enough, with a clmer head I was able to get the lug nut off. The CM suggested going into the park and dealing with the tire later. This advise led to an excellent and very magical day.

My best CM experience isn't with a CM at Disney World, but with a CM at the Disney Character Outlet in St. Augustine. His name is Gianni (John) and we stop by the outlet every year. The first year my son came along, he was almost 10 months old when we stopped through on our way to the World. John was so nice to Cameron. When he found out it was Cameron's first trip, he gave him a CM pin from his lanyard to start him out with his first pin. It was so special. Then he looked for particular pins for me and called me while we were still at WDW to tell me he'd found them and would mail them to my home. He had an e-mailing list forever where he'd report the pins they had and people could call the store and buy them over the phone and he did all that e-mailing on his own time. I think some people were calling to order and aksing lots of questions when he wasn't there though and other CMs didn't want to fool with it, so he had to stop. Anyway, we went back through last year and Cameron was 21 months. He remembered us and gave him a Pirates lanyard and pin. He is just so nice....so this year, I'm going to spread a little magic back to him and we're going to bring him a gift this time around. You can tell that he truly loves his job and spreading Disney magic.

I broke my pinkie toe at BB on our last full day 2 weeks ago. By the time we'd gotten to LeCellier, I was bruised, swollen and my resolve to not let it interfere with my last day was quickly diminishing. We were late for our ressie and the CMs not only made sure we were seated shortly after we arrived, they even brought ice and a stool so I could put my foot up. They were absolutely awesome!!

On my birthday in July, not one but two CMs started a round of singing "Happy Birthday" to me. The first one was at Pooh's Playground (we were all waiting for the characters to return), and the second one was my hostess at CRT. It was such a wonderful birthday.:goodvibes

I have two. The first one was a few years ago. It was my birthday and I had a birthday button on. A CM at Honey, I Shrunk the Audience asked my name and when we got inside, she had the entire audience sing Happy Birthday to me. It was amazing. The second one was last year at The Contemporary. My cousin's scooter had not arrived and room wasn't ready. We were just talking about not being able to do anything because she wouldn't be able to walk. We stepped aside to call the scooter company. A great CM overheard us and started talking to the CM that had been helping us. When we returned, they had no only upgraded us to the tower, but we had a MK view. It doesn't get much better than that. :cool1:
