Which Club Level do you think is the best and why? Which has the best food, services, location, other perks?

Thanks!
Jody

We have only done CL at WL, BC and YC.

WL was our favorite -- we had an amazing view of the castle and fireworks from our room (room 7042). The food was awesome and had great variety (such as wings, chili, sushi etc...) whereas, BC and YC just had a bunch of fried options. The CM's at WL were just amazing! (Though I am aware there have been staffing changes since our stay in 2012).

Next year we will be trying Poly CL -- We are super excited about it!

We have stayed CL at AKL, BC, Poly, WL and YC.

My favorite is WL-the food was wonderful and plentiful and it is close to MK. Also in our room we could see the top of the fireworks :)

The fact it is the least expensive doesn't hurt but I'd put it above the others we've tried. YC is second, Poly third (due to theming proximity of rooms to lounge, etc).

I've been disappointed with AKL due to a room issue which wasn't resolved the way I would have preferred (it was addressed), and BC is least for many reasons (poor housekeepering, bad attitude of staff).

That said, YMMV. Enjoy planning!

We've only done Club Level once, so I can't compare different resorts. But I must say, Royal Palm at Grand Floridian was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The food, service, and location were all top notch. We especially loved the afternoon tea. Of course now, the only problem is that we're completely spoiled. Not sure if/how we can go back to anything less!

I agree, RPC is amazing! The lounge is nice as it overlooks the lobby and is spacious with plenty of seating, the food offerings are great, the CL CMs are wonderful, and the views are beautiful. With that said, WL CL is also great (IMO) and runs a very close second for me as I found the atmosphere, CL CMs, etc. just as wonderful as RPC.

I am so glad to hear all the great things about the Royal Palm Club. I just booked it for our 20th wedding anniversary next June. I had seen other thread on here about club level cutbacks and was starting to get a little bummed out. It's great to hear people saying positive things about it.

Done them all but WL and AK.....
Our fave is by far the RPC at GF. The atmosphere, the staff, selections were great!
My next fave would be BWI, but my last stay there (Apr16) some of the staff were ridiculously rude (Allison was the one who stood out).....sorry we don't pay what we pay to be treated like third class citizens. (just my opinion)

We're getting closer to having experienced all of them! The only ones I can't judge are AKL and YC.

The best food and services goes to GF RPC. It was a notch above all other. Fresh sheets were kept in cute baskets outside each room every day (no rolling housekeeping carts hanging around everywhere...), the shampoo was the green lush kind that I'm now hooked on, they would engrave GF on the TP and tissue each day....I know those are just little things but they all add up. Food was outstanding!

The best location and views goes to Poly CL. Specifically a LV or TPV room. To us, there's nothing like sitting on our patio/balcony and seeing GF, the Castle, and CR....and swimming in the main pool while watching Wishes too. The Poly lounge has the best view in WDW, just our opinion of course, but the entire wall is a window with the most amazing views! A part that we really love and need in a CL is to have easy access in and out. We don't want to hike back and forth everywhere, and Poly offers easy access to the lounge, both pools, the main building & monorail, and also the boat launch.

Both AKL and BWI were amazing! The food at AKL was simply delicious and the white wine sangria was such a nice surprise.

Oh--you pointed out the thing I couldn't put my finger on about why I thought GF was better. A big part of it was those rolling carts in the halls. They seemed to ALWAYS be there at the Poly--several of them at one time all the way down the hall.

We were in Sugarloaf at GF in March and it was lovely. Better food, better service, higher standards of "nice" if that makes sense. We were at Poly last week, and the service there is just not up to what I would expect from CL and that price point. In fact, I would describe the service as poor (I could give specific examples if you want). But the Poly has that great theme, the location of everything is so great, the view from the lounge is stellar, fireworks from lounge, beach, or even the pool...I could go on and on about what I love about Poly.

I'm of the mindset that there is no such thing as the "best" CL among Disney resorts. They all tend to have their own pros/cons and there are just soooo many factors involved, let alone the subjective opinion of what you want out of a Disney resort stay. The advice you've been given above is excellent. My advice, start trying them all! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

We've stayed CL at GF (RPC), BWI, YC, BC, and AKL.

By a mile, our favorite was BWI. I'm talking in terms of staff, lounge, and offerings. After BWI, we'd rank as follows...

Best staff: AKL
Best Food: GF
Best Lounge: GF

Since then, BC has expanded it's lounge, and while we didn't stay CL on our most recent trip, we got a tour of the lounge, and it was incredible, so I'd add BC to best lounge we've seen as well.

We have stayed at AKL, YC, RPC, and the BWI and the BWI CL is by far our favorite. It's not about the food our the view for us but the feeling that the staff are really happy we are there and want to help with anything that comes up. When I am on vacation I don't want to worry about anything or feel like I'm putting anyone out by staying at their hotel. We are not guests that ask for much, heck I even do my own ADR's and I don't make any requests on most of our trips, but if I do have a question or a problem I want to know that the CM are going to go above and beyond to help;. Our last stay at the RPC GF I really felt like a burden to the CM from the check in right through our whole stay. The BWI just seems like a nice fit to us and you can't ask for better cast members that seem like it is their pleasure to help you instead of a job that they want to hurry up and punch out of.

I understand what you mean, GADisneyDad14, now after reading Disneytam's above post. Because for me, staff interaction is the least important aspect because I almost never interact with them. Food is the most important to me (and the only other club we've done is WL and thought their food was great) followed by the theme of the hotel. So I will stick with GF RPC since I hear great things about their food and I know I love the theming.

Speaking of people having their own preferences... I've been reading a ton of GF reviews recently because of booking our trip and this one lady was so upset about the baskets of linens outside her door. She felt like she was being rushed out. And then you read TJA mentioning them above as being cute and so nice to see instead of the rolling carts. It makes you think much of this can be about what kind of attitude you bring with you. I just found that interesting.

Thanks to everyone for their comments and helping me choose. Such a weighty decision!!

Yes GADisneyDad14 explained perfectly. It's always hard for me to answer these posts about which CL is best because everyone has different priorities on what makes their own vacation special. For us, it's not so much about the CM's because we rarely interact with them...and the food is just an extra perk for us. However, it's a must for us to have a great view, large balcony/patio, quick & easy ways in and out of CL, and a big comfortable lounge.

@~tinkerbell~ I remember reading about the person who was upset about the linen baskets....I think I posted a picture in the GF thread after we got back from RPC in April because I thought the baskets were such a clever idea! Housekeeping was like magic there. I never, ever saw them! They just always seemed to know the exact perfect times to clean and then do turndown later on.

WE have stayed at them all. I would rank GF RPC as the best overall experience. The food, the service, the little extras - very nice.

Relaxing in the lounge while the live music drifted up from below. Lovely!
