Hello,
I have agreed to add on 2 nights to our Disney Trip to try out Universal Studios. Originally we where going to add those nights at the start of our Disney trip, however, it looks like most ppl recommend staying at US last after Disney. Our trip will just be my 14yo son and myself. Which of the 3 onsite hotels have the best club lounge and the best pool/pool slide?? I think my son will be most interested in the pool after the parks, and I would like a lovely hotel with a nice club level!
:goodvibes What's your recommendations???
Thanks

RPR was my favorite club level but it has no slide. However, I read on a post recently that seemed to indicate the lounge offerings had been scaled back.

HRH has a great pool, good slide, and underwater music!!! Did not take part in the club level stuff though..

I enjoyed the pool at Royal Pacific because it's deeper. I love the HRH pool & all it's activites, but it's so shallow.
We tried the HRH club this year, which in my opinion, was simply just "okay."

HRH has Guitar Hero out by the pool! My oldest DS enjoyed that and the little ones enjoyed the slide there. We stayed at RPR and pool hopped. This next trip we are staying at the HRH though. Don't know about club as we have never stayed.

Having just returned with a 10 and 12 year old and having visited all resort pools- I can vouch that the the hard rock had the best pool, pool setting and activities. The other had multiple pools which was nice, but I think you find the hard rock the best for the teenage vibe.

No matter where you stay (on site), you can "play" at all 3 resorts. Pool hopping is most definently allowed!:thumbsup2

We stayed at RPR. We loved the resort and had a killer view of the pool & Islands of Adventure. For Club level at RPR, only about 1/3 of the rooms have a park/pool view, the rest are of highways, etc.

I have three boys; have visited Disney and Universal with them three times. I was informed after our last trip in November that they only want to do Universal next time and skip Disney. :confused3

Your 14-yr-old son will love Hard Rock, hands down. However, we stayed club level our last stay and it was nothing special. In fact, disappointing. The atmosphere, rooms, etc., are wonderful with or w/o club level. :thumbsup2

I would save your money and not go club level. You will enjoy the hotel so much that it will make up for the fact you don't stay club level. :goodvibes

He's the perfect age for Universal, so have a wonderful trip!
