We can't decide on a hotel near Disney to stay at with our 5 lb dog. We are annual passholders, but the onsite deals aren't good enough for us to leave pup at home. Any opinions on offsite with dogs? We've stayed at a few nasty ones like master's inn and are trying to avoid that experience again. Thanks for you opinions and help!!:grouphug:

The company I rent from allow pets in some of their vacation homes and they are close to Disney.

I can't post the name of the company as this forum blanks it out but if you look for Florida Leisure and then look for pet friendly under one of the tabs of their web site you will get there. I still have no idea why other companies get mentioned but the company I use and have a high regard for is treated this way.

Our preference is the Universal Hotels, but they're not practical, when only going to WDW. We stayed @ Holiday Inn Sunspree last summer. It was fine. It was actually nicer than I expected from the reviews I read. The room was clean, & they were great about our mini-pinscher. If you stay there, don't eat the breakfast buffet. It was horrible! We've booked Orlando Vista Hotel for May. This will be our 1st time staying there, so I don't know what to expect.

I know what you mean about not leaving your 4-legged baby home. We left our's home, when we stayed at Dolphin in Oct. As you can see, we're back to staying offsite. ;) If your stay is after Oct. 21st, the new Hilton @ Bonnet Creek is supposed to be pet-friendly. That's where we'll be staying in the future.

Wherever you end up staying, please let us know what you thought.

ETA: It looks like the Waldorf Astoria will also allow pets. I'm excited to have some upscale, pet-friendly options near WDW. It's about time!

For those who stay in villas or homes, do they all require 7 night stays? We usually only stay for 4 or 5 nights at a time. Also, what's the usual pet fee price range? Do you have any recommendations that are really close to the parks? We live in a Florida home an hour away, so staying in someone else's that's not exactly close either doesn't appeal to us that much. ;) Sorry, for all the questions.
