Best Christmas Movies/TV Specials of all Time?

We are having movie night every night till Christmas for my toddlers (4 & 2). So far, we have watched:
-Frosty the Snowman
-Polar Express
-Rudolph
-Twas the Night Before Christmas (with the mice & the clocktower-remember that one??)

Tomorrow will be the Grinch. I also have on my list:
-Emmett Otter
-Santa Claus is Coming to Town
-Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas
-Muppet Christmas Carol
-Charlie Brown Christmas

What are your favorite kids Christmas movies of all time? Either ones you enjoyed as a kid or ones your children enjoyed?

Mickey's Christmas Carol-- my favorite!

Jim Henson did one called The Christmas Toy. It is so sweet. Watch it every Christmas.

We also love A Muppet Family Christmas.

The Garfield Christmas has some very sweet scenes, also.

Opus and Bill A Wish for Wings that Work is also a favorite.

I totally agree, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is my favorite like ever. While doing decorations this weekend, I cannot even count the amount of times I quoted that movie

Christmas Eve on Sesame Street


My 5 year old has loved it since Saturday when I put it on. It was my favorite Christmas special as a kid. However, I disliked and she was not interested in 'Elmo Saves Christmas'. That Santa was grouchy and the story too long.

The Snowman and The Snowman and the Snowdog... two short animated films which are watched by pretty much everyone in Britain. If you get the chance, watch at least one. In the former, the Snowman and the young boy fly over my home town!

I've seen the Snowman, we taped it on an old VCR tape off our PBS station many years ago, along with Mr Willowby's Christmas Tree ( a musical version starring Robert Downey, Jr, Stockard Channing, some Muppets, and Leslie Nielsen!) We own the picture book of The Snowman also.

My favorite Christmas special is A Christmas Memory, starring Geraldine Page and narrated by Truman Capote. It used to be broadcast regularly on PBS also, and I have it on a VCR tape, but it hasn't been on in a long time.

For the message, Charlie Brown and the Grinch cartoons are the best!
