Best choices for dining on a budget?

DH and I are robust food consumers, while DD20 has a digestive condition that requires her to eat protein constantly.

So we have given up on eating cheaply.

However, I will often split a meal with DD, while ordering an extra salad or soup.

Taste Pilots has enormous servings, and we like the food at Whitewater: fresh, healthy, and good size portions.

Forgot to mention that restaurant.com has certificates for House of Blues in DTD. The $25 certificates are $10 but they are always on sale. Right now they are 60% off (so $4) but they go to 80% off ($2) quite often. And in Calif. they never expire (other areas of U.S. only good for a year). I bought one recently and plan on using it soon. They even have ones for HoB in DTD at WDW.:goodvibes

If you're not familiar with restaurant.com, basically you buy a certificate for a certain amount. The $25 one for HoB requires you to spend $35 (some are higher) If you only pay $2 for the $25 cert. and then spend another $10 to reach the limit, basically you will get $35 worth of food for $12-a great deal! You can only use one at the same restaurant once a month but if you want to buy more than one, just use someone else's email address. You can't combine 2 certificates for one party.

I've used certificates locally and they work great! Never had a problem and now even get coupons direct from one of the restaurants.:)

I purchased the HoB certs. I dont' remember seeing a name on the certs. I got 2. Should I have ordered them under 2 different names? :confused3

You're right. I just looked at mine and it doesn't. I thought they did-maybe they changed it. :confused3 (or I'm confusing it with coupons from Entertainment.com) However, the cert. will be affiliated with the email account you receive the cert to. So, if it's the same email account it could be a problem. I've never tried to use a certificate twice within a month. And, I don't know if it's once during a calendar month or once every 30 days.:confused3 I've heard that when the restaurant enters your cert. # into the restaurant.com system that's the time when the once a month issue can come up.

Just to be sure maybe you could cancel one of the certs and get a new one with a different email address.
