Best choice for a character meal

We are going to be at WDW during Easter Break. I have a 2 1/2 year old son--we are looking at doing two character meals. One for breakfast and one for dinner. Last year we did 1900 Park Fare with him and he truly enjoyed it. This year I would like to do something a little different, and would like him to see Donald as this is his favorite. Suggestions for breakfast and dinner would be appreciated. :bitelip:

If he likes Donald, you can do the Breakfastosaurus in AK. Donald is there, but I didn't care for the food (cold) or atmosphere (run down) at all. The characters seemed to be rushed as well. I think Donald also wanders around AK a little bit, so you can see him without having a meal there.

Crystal Palace in MK is the best character breakfast and the place to be for Pooh lovers everywhere;) We love the food--great variety and quality. The characters are fun, sweet and plentiful. CP is the prettiest restaurant I've been in at WDW, even better than many of the fancy sitdowns.

We love Chef Mickey's, Donalds Breakfastosaurus and Crystal Palace! We are returning to all these places on our next trip. Also, the ice cream social even though I think it is closed and not sure when it will be open again.

Crystal Palace has Winnie, Tigger, Eyeore, Piglet and really good buffet, plus a child's buffet with mac & cheese, chix nuggets, etc. Kids can help themselves, it's set at childs' height.

Thanks for your help. I have decided to book at Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare (for the adults). I have been told that Donald is at Chef Mickey's, so I went against Donald's Breakfastosaurus.

Just to let you know, we have eaten at Chef Mickey's several times and Donald has only been there once. If you want the guarantee of seeing Donald, you need to go to Restaurantausaurus (that can't possibly be spelled correctly  )

You have already done the place we would recommend for breakfast as we love 1900 Park Fare for breakfast.

For dinner I would recommend Chef Mickey's. Donald is usually there in the lobby doing greetings and it is a fun atmosphare with signing that breaks out every 20mins or so. Just a fun place.

As previous posters have said, Donald is usually in the lobby at Chef Mickey's dinner. I have read that he doesn't show up at breakfast that often. How could he, if he's at AK :earboy2:

We did Breakfastasaurus, in 2001, skipped it last trip, but are going to try it again. It wasn't that great, but DH is a HUGE Donald fan.

You will have a great time, with your picks. Don't miss the Breakfast Lasagne, at Crystal Palace. YUM YUM.
