Where do I find it? We used to covet the cake at MSB and eat it while watching fireworks. It's not as good as it used to be, IMHO. SO where do you find great chocolate cake at disney, with yummie frosting? Any pics would be welcome too.

I am so glad you posted this! I want to know, as well--I the Queen of cake , but don't remember one has having stood out while we were there in Feb.

Added later: People on other threads mention the chocolate whiskey cake at Le Cellier...I am going to have to go there and make sure it's good! :rotfl:

Anyone else?

The chocolate mousse cake at Kringla Bakeri og Cafe in Norway (at Epcot) is delicious!!! We're going for the day on Saturday and my mouth is already watering. (For a bonus, it's nice to sit under the little covered area behind the Bakeri and enjoy the cake - great spot.)

Not sure what MSB is, but there's a chocolate molten lava cake at the California Grill that is to die for! :thumbsup2 It's not the traditional cake with icing that it sounds like you're looking for, but for a chocoholic it’s really great.

:thumbsup2 I'll second this!

My son loved his chocolated mousse cake from Sunshine Seasons. I'm more of a strawberry shortcake girl myself. :rotfl2:

I have to second the molten chocolate cake at California Grill. They usually have an interesting flavor of ice cream to go with it, but if it's not your taste you can substitute vanilla.

One chocolate cake I did not care for was the one at Citricos. Again, it's not a traditional chocolate frosted cake. The flavor was good (very dark chocolate) but it was slightly overcooked.

FWIW, I love to bake so I'm super picky. I think it's easy to mess up chocolate cake in a restaurant (usually too sweet or dry) so I usually don't order it.

I love the chocolate souffle that is at V&A and the one at Bistro de Paris. I've eaten chocolate all over WDW and these 2 are definitely the best.

Not sure what MSB is

I'm assuming Main Street Bakery.

And yes, they did used to have awesome chocolate cake. I don't think I've had it in a couple years though.

The other I used to love, that I don't think is around any more, is at what used to be the kitchen/snack shop in DTD before they converted the space. That was some of the best chocolate cake I've ever had.

No question in my mind, the Chocolate Whiskey Cake at Le Cel. I'd skip the steak before I'd go there and have a different dessert.

I recently discovered the joy of the chocolate cake at Beaches & Cream. I am typically so enamored by the sundaes and other ice cream creations that I never considered ordering anything else. A friend decided it looked good on the menu and ventured outside the standard dessert selections.

Thank goodness she did. This cake is absolutely fantastic. It's dense and rich, almost like fudge more than cake. Add a scoop if (coffee) ice cream, and it's heaven. It may be my new favorite menu item at Beaches & Cream, including my beloved Fudge Mud Slide sundae.

:thumbsup2Thumbs up to the chocolate cake at Big River Grill.

Rich, moist. And a good big slice.

Thanks guys, lots of good suggestions. And yes, MSB = Main Street Bakery. SInce we are going to Le Cellier, I'll try that Whisky Cake. Since we are at Beach Club Villas for part of our stay, I'll check out that B&C cake and maybe bring it back to the room! So many tasty ideas here.

Does the chocolate cake at Le Cellier taste like whiskey at all?

I've had it once or twice and I could taste it. That didn't sit right with me - when I have chocolate cake I just want chocolate, fudgy, moist, deliciousness.

I have to have the chocolate cake at the Main St Bakery EVERY trip - it's sooooo good!!!

I couldn't taste it but I could taste the beer in the soup and couldn't eat it.

JIKO!

Ready to salivate?
