We have a stay at BCV (2BDR) coming up this Sunday. I’ve already put in room request (pool view if possible) but I don’t know what is the best way to do “ online” check in to give me best chance of room being ready before 4pm.
Should I check in days before or on the day of?
Should we go to the front desk to check in and say well take whatever is ready?
Is it possible to get the room info early in the day via text?
Any suggestions to maximize our chances??? 🤪

I take a red eye flight from CA, so we are always at the resort crazy early in the morning. The majority of the time we stay in studios and we are almost always in our room by 1pm, sometimes before 11am.

I always do online check in, I do it months in advance, whenever I remember to do it to be honest. I believe they assign rooms like three days in advance, so I would certainly do it before then. Don't select anything for room requests when you do online check in if you already put one in.

We also always check in with the front desk when we arrive and we let them know that we will take first available (we don't care about location or anything so we really mean it) if you really want that pool view then obviously don't tell them you will take first available if you won't be happy with whatever they have.

If you do online check in they will text you your room number once it is ready (this has only not worked for us once) and it will appear in your MDE. You will not get this information until the room is actually ready for you though. I am sure that they can enable this feature even if you don't do online check in but I always do online check in so I have zero experience with that.

There are still times you don't get your room until 4pm or later though. Our last trip our BCV studio wasn't available until after 6:30 pm and we had a similar experience at BWV years ago.

Neither check in method is any better when it comes down to room ready upon arrival. Once housekeeping has finished cleaning the room, they dial a special extension from the in-room phone which alerts to hotel computer that the room is ready to be occupied. You can't get the room number until housekeeping has completed that step.

There is an actual box you can check with online check-in that states you would prefer an early check-in over any room requests you may have put in.

Thank you!! I did see the box!!! Now I have to decide if I want to take a chance of missing out on a possible room view bass getting the room early
