I'm sure the majority of visitors who visit any Disney park love seeing their young child come up and meet their favorite Disney character for the first time. I remember back in 2006 for my second trip to Walt Disney World. The one meet and greet that will forever been with me was my first meet and greet with Minnie Mouse at "Camp Minnie Mickey" at Animal Kingdom. At the time I had a crush on her, and she kissed me twice and I remember blushing and grinned in a very goofy fashion.

As of 2015, my experience with meeting Marie has officially topped that memory. So please excuse the long writing that I'm about to show since my Senior Trip lasted from April 28 - May 2 and we had alot of things to do for that trip.

I remember last year, I been planning on meeting Marie the kitten ever since I discovered she started doing meet and greets at Walt Disney World since 2007. Marie was exclusive to Tokyo Disneyland originally until she randomly showed up at Epcot's France Pavilion until 2013 when she started doing meet and greets at Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom. I will never forget how happy I was when she started walking from Town Hall straight to the meet and greet line. My guidance counselor asked the cast member working for the line for me to be first in line. Since I really wanted to meet her since day one. My guidance counselor recorded my first encounter with her. The cast member told me she starts doing meet and greets at 10:30am since Minnie was there since the opening of the park for each day. I remember meeting Mickey on April 28, the first day there. At first, I was confused on why she wasn't there at the time. I meet Mickey Mouse and asked him if he's seen Marie that day. He said "Gosh, I haven't seen her at all" and a cast member told use that she couldn't come out since it was raining that day and Marie was going to come out. I felt a little bit sad, but my guidance counselor (Who really cared about me) told me that we can come back on Friday (May 1) since the other students went to Blizzard Beach that day.

I remember Marie was very energetic that day, and she gave me a big hug. I then gave her my autograph book and while she was signing it. I said to her "You have no idea how much I was looking for you." she responded be nodding her head happily. When she was done signing it, she felt very flattered and shy around me. I think she started flirting with me to, and she gave me another big hug and kissed me 6 times. When I was done, I felt sad realizing this might be my last trip to WDW for another 10 years and also touched due to how much she loved me. We went back to "Disney's All-Star Sports Resort" where I was the only student there. I asked my guidance counselor if I can take a nap for a few hours (We we're about to head to Downtown Disney that day). He didn't mind and put a "Do Not Disturb" sign for my room. I started crying due to how touched that meet and greet was to me. It was also very personal, since Marie was the reason why I've gotten myself interested in Disney in the first place as well making me into a cat lover. She also kissed my autograph book which was really cute.

After out Senior class watched Circus De Solei's "La Nouba" we ate at the House Of Blues restaurant. My High School Principle,my guidance counselor, and other teacher ate with me. I told them about my experience of meeting Marie that day. I also told them alot of fun facts about Disney,it's parks, and some info about the cancelled Aristocats sequel. They we're all very impressed with my long story and wanted to hear more. I gave an idea to my guidance counselor if I could meet Marie one last time the next day. Since we leave on the next morning, he agreed with my idea.

On my final day, I went back to the Magic Kingdom and wrote her a message on my autograph book about how much I loved her. Most of the writing was going to be what I was going to say to her the first day. But I got extremely tongue-tied and decided to write it on two pages of my autograph book. When she came out, I gave her the book and began reading my message to her. Including signing another autograph for my friends and family back at her. She did just that, and kissed both pages. While she was signing it, I told her "This is my last day at Walt Disney World." and replied by rolling both of her index finger down her eyes telling me that she's sad that I'm about to leave. She gave me one last hug, and I whispered to her "I Love You" and as I was leaving her. She blew me two kisses right back at me, which cheered me up about me leaving to park. We went to Epcot next, and we ate at Italy. Before we left, I buyed two Marie cups. One was a glass cup and the other was tea cup. I also buyed my own Marie plush to take home. I currently have all of them in my bedroom. The reason why I cried, was because Marie was the only Disney character I wanted to meet the most since I was little. At the time, Marie only appeared in Disney merchandise and never did any meet and greets at the parks. The Scat Cats used to be the only characters from The Aristocats that ever did any meet and greets during the 1970's and 1980's.

What are your favorite meet and greet memories and best experiences that you had. It can be from your childhood or any of your Disney trips.

Daughters first trip she was shy and very overwhelmed by all that was happening around her -- well she stood in line for Tinkerbelle, but before meeting Tink she met Periwinkle -- not sure the conversation they had as we weren't standing that close but the photo pass photographer captured a picture that to this day melts my heart as the expression on my daughters and Periwinkles face was of a very special moment

Without a doubt meeting Figment!! I loved him, my sister and I probably went back to see him 100 times during one trip because he was so much fun! I was maybe 7/8 at the time and don't remember what we talked about but just remember laughing so hard and him wanting to chew on our braids. EPCOT just isn't the same without him.

Did this take place before or after the attraction got changed? Because Figment used to did solo meet and greets when the attraction became "Journey Into Imagination With Figment".

Mine is a MNSSHP Goofy meeting from a couple years ago. DH and DD were both dressed as Goofy - royal blue shorts, orange tshirts and black vests. DD was wearing one of those tall Goofy hats and DH was wearing light up Mickey ears because it was all we had handy.

Goofy grabbed the ears off DH's head, threw them down and pretended to stomp on them. DH said "Hey! I'm you're brother from another mother! Minnie!" Goofy walked away and doubled over the wall nearby laughing. I wish I had video.

My favorite memory of all time is one of our first family trips to WDW. We ate breakfast in the Polynesian Resort ..I think it was called Minnie's Menuhune at the time, It would have been 1989. My oldest DD was about 18 mo old and Pluto came over got her out of the high chair and sat on the floor and played with her. I have the most adorable picture of her resting her head on his "snout" and smiling. I think that was the exact moment both she and I became Disney fans for life! She is 27 now and loves Disney even more than ever.

OP, I read this and it made my heart smile. DD met and fell in love with Marie on our first family trip in October 2013. We were in the park a little early before our MNSSHP night, on our way to her BBB appt. We had a little time on the way in, and I spotted Marie. She was so super sweet to DD and by far her favorite M&G. She still loves Marie (has a Marie sundress, pillowcase, blanket (all homemade) and a plush toy for the Disney Store. She hasn't seen Aristocats yet though. I have a feeling her love for Marie will continue to grow.

I love Eeyore.:eeyore:

I have three girls so I would be here a while. I'll go with our most recent visit. The look on my DD 15 face meeting Phineas and Ferb. Priceless

On our last trip, DS and I ate breakfast at DLR's Grand Californian Hotel. We didn't realize it was a character breakfast until the bears showed up. Then came Chip & Dale, and then Meeko, the raccoon.

I called Meeko a meercat and got the stink-eye and pranks for the rest of my meal.

But the bears were fun -- I bribed them with honey from the tea service I ordered.

Our daughter has red hair, so Anastasia had a ball with that when our kids got to meet her and Drisella. Later, during the afternoon parade, our daughter was sitting on the curb watching as A&D walked by. Anastasia pointed her out and said, "hey, it's the girl with my hair! Thanks for coming to my parade!"

We've had a lot of magical character experiences, but that was one of the most fun :)

A very heartwarming post, thanks for sharing! I will never forget the day my DS saw Buzz and Woody in person. He was being such a party pooper during that trip and even at 3yrs, was acting very "too cool for school" about eveything. That is, until our turn came up in their M&G line at DHS ( I specify that M&G location because the way it is set up, young kids may not know for sure what they are waiting in line for unless you announce it, and I did not), he threw his hands over his mouth that was hanging wide open and had the most dramatic gasp ever, kind of like the way the people in the Publishers ClearingHouse commercials look. I'll have to remind him of that any time he tries to act TOO cool. I know it isn't a super cool story but it is just one I personally fave. Great thread discussion!

I loved those green army men. Do they still hang around pixar place in DHS? They were a riot. I remember them making fun of my Yankee hat, then running over to a kid in a Red Sox hat, and giving him a thumbs up. They loved to tease us lol.

During the trip I took with my best friend in May, we met Anna and Elsa and I really enjoyed it! Especially because I got to show off my sisterly tattoo. (my sister and I both have a very small "love will thaw" -Mine tattooed on my ankle, and her's on her bicep) It was a hit! Also so Ariel, and she was a cutie.

Yeah the green army men are still around Pixar Place. I remember seen a couple near Toy Story Mania.

It's always the M&G that make children's mood change quickly depending on the characters they encounter.

One of our most memoriable character meets was this past March when DS3 met Anna- She asked him if his name started with an A (it does) since he had an A on his shirt and when he said yes- she went on and on about how she loves the letter A because her name starts with A and about how she has A's on the back of her boots and she asked DS if he had A's on the back of his sneakers- he stopped and looked on the back of his sneakers and very seriously told Anna that yes he does have A's on his shoes (he doesn't). The whole interaction was very cute and funny. After that he told everyone that Anna was his favorite princess because they both have A's on their shoes.

That sounded like a very fun meet and greet with Anna.
