I would like your answer to be based strictly on character interaction, but food opinions are welcome. We are taking my granddaughter princess:Gabi to WDW for her 3rd birthday. As it stands right now I have an 8:20am Akershus and a 5:45 Garden Grill on her actual birthday (Nov. 13). I want to know if I should leave that alone or should I do Garden Grill another night and Akershus for dinner on her birthday? I want to know if she would get more attention/interaction from the princesses or Chip and Dale? My thought was Chip and Dale, but I wanted to know what others thought. Thanks!

I would think Akershus would be most special. The princesses are great there! And she gets a greeting and photo with Belle. When we were there they also invited the girls to join in a princess parade. Our time there was so much fun!

We've been very pleased with the characters at Garden Grill. The staff at the restaurant was outstanding as well. The food was good, not 5 star in my book, but still good and we will try to work in in again on the next trip.

When my dd was little she loved the princesses but she also loved Chip n Dale and IMHO Chip 'n Dale spent more time with her.

She was a little more shy with the princesses probably because they were "face" characters and spoke to her and asked questions so she was a little apprehensive.

Now if your dgd is more outgoing she may converse with them and enjoy them more. But Chip n Dale are silly and funny.

They would sit down at GG (and at Cape May Cafe when they were BOTH there) and color with her and they'd play with her sticker book. They were a hoot.

...she is 14 now and still loves Chip 'n Dale but has long grown out of the princess thing. (although she surprised me last trip at MK and wanted to see the princesses, funny enough, she was just as shy with them as she was when she was 3!:goodvibes)

I would recommend the Akershus one reason being the princesses are actual people. My 3 y/o was afraid of the "animal" characters but had no problem interacting with the "human"characters. Young kids see these characters on TV and video and they look small. I would prep her explaining that the characters are taller like adults. We ate lunch at Akershus which was good. The free picture with Belle is nice. We have done lunch three times there and every time we saw Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, and Sleeping Beauty.

We took our daughter on her third birthday and she loved the princess meet and greet at MK. We hit the theater just inside the gates right after opening and the wait was only about 10 or 15 min. Three princess and A/C! Have fun!
