Where would be the best places for character dining with 3 boys ages 7, 4 & 2? We did the Crystal Palace last time. I would love to do the CRT but don't think they would be as enthused as me.

Tusker House breakfast? You get a photo with Donald before you are seated and then Mickey, Goofy and Daisy come to the tables (all wearing safari clothes). The food is good, I :lovestruc the Jungle Juice and about once an hour the kids are given little shaker instruments and get to follow the characters around in a quick parade.

Hollywood & Vine breakfast? It gets some bad reviews, but dd & I thought the food and service were great. Characters are Handy Manny, two of the Little Einsteins and (I think) Agent Oso has replaced JoJo. Twice while we were there the kids got the chance to dance with a character.

Tusker House with Donald (picture cost you extra however) best breakfast for characters we think.
Cape May has characters for breakfast (not for dinner) Goofy and friends
Hollywood and Vine in HS has characters for breakfast (not sure on other meals) Eiensteins & friends
O 'Hana's breakfast has character breakfast and games for dinner-was Lilo and friends
Whispering Canyons is not characters but is fun if anyone likes catsup and ask server they bring it from every table to who ask for :lmao:it or ask for a large drink and see what happens :rotfl: is a boat ride from MK to Wilderness Lodge they have menu and family style dining. allears.net has menus also. as well as WDW dining sites can get into menus and see them all as well
We had to give up Chef Mickeys for a while as it has really went down hill food just cold and watery last October 2009 so this trip (in 25 days) we will skip that one.
Crystal Palace in MK has characters for all meals but we were not to impressed there with the food --but loved Winnie and Pooh and friends
1900 Park Fare has Princess and food edible
Liberty Tree in MK did have characters and then took them out so not positive if they there now or not now.

Good luck.:dance3:

I have a 4 year old son and we are doing the Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House. His favorite character is Donald.
Last time we went we did the Liberty Tree Tavern and I am a little bummed they no longer do that cause me and dh thought it was nice.

my boys (9 and 6) still love chef mickeys and they really like Ohana breakfast too, they like that Stitch is there:-) lilo, mickey and Pluto are also at that one

I'd go for the 'Ohana breakfast. Buffets are a lot of work (getting up and down a lot and timing trips to the buffet without missing characters at the table) with little kids, and at 'Ohana they bring all of the food to you. It's much more relaxing! Plus, there's a cute parade for the kids around the restaurant and the characters there are fun.

My son always loved Cape May breakfast at Beach Club. The characters were great and spent a lot of time at each table. Food is good too!

My sons have always enjoyed Cape May breakfast the morning we leave, and Garden Grill for dinner. They still request these 2 and they are teens now.

Lilo & Stitch Friendship Breakfast at the Poly. Have your boys interact with Stitch, he can be so funny! Have a joke or two prepared "How do you make a hankerchief dance?-Put a little boogie in it!" Naturally Stitch picked his nose for us! When posing with the kids he made a fart noise, he grabbed my brother's lei and he did an Elvis dance with my niece. But they have to interact or else he will just sign autographs and move on.

They will also see Lilo, Mickey and I think Pluto or Goofy can't recall which dog! The food is a platter of breakfast stuff-eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits. They bring over Mickey waffles. They also have great juice some kind of oj with mango. And pineppple bread.

They have the kids march around with maracas and dance.

Really super fun!

I have 3 boys a little older than your's, and our favorites are Crystal Palace and 'Ohana (dinner, so no characters). We are doing Garden Grill at EP this time, so I can't comment on that one yet.
We also really enjoy Cape May for dinner, but once again, not a character meal. We have done H&V's character meal, but its been bad 2 years running so we cut it out this trip.
I've heard Chef Mickey's is fun, but we've never had time for it.
Good luck with your choices. Hope you have a blast!! :thumbsup2

Another vote for Tusker's House Character Breakfast. The characters, Donald, Goofy, Mickey and I think Minnie, have such great interaction with each table. They danced with us and we took many pictures. We did early morning ADR's, were there at 8:30 for 8:45 seating, as we were all there, they seated us early. I went and got Fast passes for the whole family for Kilamanjero Safari prior to checking in.

The food was fresh and tasty, and it included lots of choices. The passion fruit/orange combo juice they serve is delicious! We've done this with friends and family 4 times now in the last 3 years and we've never been disapointed.

After breakfast, headed off to the safari, got right on while the animals were still fresh and perky! It's a great way to start the day at AK!

We done Chef Mickey's twice, never again!

This may sound odd for boys but 1900 park fare for dinner. Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters are hysterical. We went last time for DD. She wanted to see Cinderella and I did not want to use 2 ts credits for CRT. My boys were teens and they loved it. The stepsisters spotted them right away and started fingting over them. Wanting to know if they were available and such. The boys probably get more attention at this meal then the girls. It may be billed as a princess meal but Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters are the starys there.

Thanks so much for all the info!! Can't wait to make the reservations!!

My son LOVES Hollywood and Vine (they have a song/dance ever 15 mins and a musical parade ever 30 mins), Tusker House breakfast buffet was wonderful breakfast selection and great juice...wonderful character interaction and have a musical parade. Chef Mickey, Cape May and Crystal my son loves the characters.
My son did enjoy eating in the castle with Princesses (he was 2 and 3 when we went)...we are going again in Dec and he wants to eat at all this places.
Have a magical trip.
