I was soo excited and had my heart set on Chef Mickeys for breakfast during our stay in June..unfortunately....they have NO available times. :sad1: Can anyone suggest another character bf that is somewhat equal to CM and thats good? We really liked the selections on the buffet and liked the characters at CM. What about a good character dinner meal that has those characters...of course...besides CM...because they are booked up for lunch and dinner as well during our stay.

I wouldnt give up on Chef Mickey's. Ive been checking daily since the 180 day mark and was finally able to score an 545 dinner ADR for our trip in May. That being said, our favorite character breakfasts are at Ohana at the Poly and Tusker house in Animal kingdom. Ohana is so relaxing because they bring the food to you family style and they have Mickey waffles so the kids are thrilled:). The Tusker house buffet is really nice too, we always try to get an ADR before park opening, then after breakfast head over to the safari without the wait:) Good Luck!

We had b'fast twice at Cape May Cafe (Beach Club). Loved it both times. The characters there spent quite some time at the tables interacting with us. And I find that Cape May is not as crowded as Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey.

Ohana's is our favorite breakfast, the food is wonderful and there seems to be a lot better interaction with the characters.

We have also had breakfast at Cape Mays, Mickey is not there, but Minnie, Donald and Goofy are in their beach clothes. Again, we experienced better interaction than we have at Chef Mickeys.

Keeping trying Chef Mickey's people are changing plans all the time.

A previous poster is right, don't give up just yet. Keep checking the ADR site and select and hour or 2, one way or the other of your ideal time.

But if not, I really enjoyed the Tusker House buffet breakfast along with the pic of the family w/ Donald in safari gear outside the restaurant and Mickey and the others moving around on the inside. Crystal Palace is fun for anyone that likes Pooh and his pals. And there is great interaction between the princesses and the diners at the Akershus breakfast, plus the cheesy potatoes are amazing.

I agree with everyone else to keep checking as people cancel all the time. But for another option, our favorite for breakfast is Cape May at the BC. We love the buffet and the characters are cute all dressed in beach clothes.....it's a must do for us every trip :goodvibes.

First off- don't give up on Chef Mickey's. ADRs open up all the time and persistence pays off.

Secondly, our fave character breakfast is 1900 PF and #2 is Crystal Palace...so you might also look into those. Hollywood & Vine breakfast is tied for 3rd w/Chef Mickey's for us, but I know those characters don't appeal to everyone.

No offense but I can think of a ton of other places that are WAAAAAAAAAY better than Chef Mickeys. For example: Tusker House, Ohana, Cape May, & 1900 PF are all pretty awesome for breakfast. I will be doing C.Palace bf for the firs time in August. Yay! Been there a ton of times for lunch/dinner and loved it, so im hoping bf will be even better!

Tusker House is my fave out of all the ones i listed. The variety and quality of food are amazing. Plus the characters are hilarious. You cant go wrong with any of the ones i just listed thou. We had great meals at all of them. Cape May is nice and quiet, great food too.

But definitely dont give up on CMickeys if thats what you really want. Persistence pays off! I always got what I wanted just by checking on the website daily.
