I'm thinking about doing a character breakfast. It would be on a non-park day, so one at a park it out of the question. I want it all you can eat and would really like it to be with Mickey. Any suggestions?

There's Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary... I haven't done this one yet, but we're planning on doing so on our next trip.

Oh wait I forgot... I think we are going to the California Grill.. So I'm not sure if I wanna do Chef Mickey's (since I'm already going to the Contemporary). But that was #1 for me until I decided the California Grill was more important. LOL

I know what you mean! I've changed my mind about 50 times so far. There's also the 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. I don't think Mickey shows up for this one; instead the characters are Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, and some characters from Pooh.

I'm not sure which breakfast I want to do -- I'd love to see the Grand Floridian, but I think my kids would enjoy the characters at Mickey's more...also, we're staying at WL, so we could just take the boat over to the Contemporary. So many decisions! LOL

Mickey was at the 'Ohana character breakfast, and we loved it. It's not a buffet, but it is all-you-can-eat. They put all the food on a big tray in the middle of the table and you just ask for more of whatever you want. It was all good, but the pineapple bread was fantastic! If you can get a table by the windows, you can see Cinderella Castle while you eat!

Chef Mickeys is a great place for a breakfast charachter meal. They have mickey, minnie, goofy, chip, dale, donald and pluto. It is a really fun atmosphere and the buffet is good. They have a party break every 45 minutes where theres music and everyone waves their napkins in the air. It's really a fun meal.

We went in October and loved Chef Mickey's. The atmosphere was great and I was schocked at how fabulous the food was.

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort. They have a really good breakfast buffet with great character interaction. The characters include Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale. All dressed in beachwear. Sometimes there are a few others at the entrance for photos and autographs.

Haven't made it to Chef Mickey's yet, but we really enjoyed Donald's Breakfastasaurus at AK on our most recent trip. Wide variety of foods, attentive, friendly, & funny server, plenty of time w/ the characters.

We ate the AK and I must say the food was much better than I expected it to be. That being said, I think you must pick the Meal that has the Characters that your kids want to see, food and price are distant seconds and thirds to that.
Hope you Enjoy your trip.

Gonna have to chime in and agree about Chef Mickey's. For out of park character dining, it offers the best food and overall experience.
