Has one one taken electronics to best buy for their recycling program? I have an old blackberry that according to their trade in estimator is worth about 70$ in cash/check or 128 in gift card/store credit.. I'm going to the world in 21 days so I would actually rather have the cash/check..

I'm just curios as to peoples experience with it..?

Thanks

I haven't used Best Buy's service yet but have used the website Gazelle which offers a similar service. I had a great experience with Gazelle an would encourage you to check out their service to see if they are offering more...

I second gazelle.com! :thumbsup2

They will often give you more money for your item than Best Buy does. The only time I would go with Best Buy's program would be if I was saving up gift cards to purchase something from them. But when it comes to cash, I think that you'll find gazelle is very competitive.

How long does it take for the money to come back? I leave in 21 days (:cool1: )
and I checked the sight and it was a heck of a lot more money then the best buy thing said.. so thanks!

I've gotten payment within 2 weeks of sending an item to them. They pay for the shipping and once they get the item, they email you to tell you how much they will pay you. You can get paid thru Paypal. I think the money was in my Paypal account about 3 or 4 days later. I had it in my checking account 3 days after that.

about how accurate is the price quoted what you actually get?

I was quoted $149 for my old Blackberry and that would be an amazing amount to get

I got exactly what I was quoted. As long as you are accurately describing it, you should get what they've offered.

Verizon has a trade in program, too. They'll take any phone not just Verizon.

I got $132 for my HTC Eris.
