Does any place in DL DTD CA make a fresh hamburger, not frozen? I hate those patties that are frozen. All I have on my burger is the meat. Since my gastric bypass I have to really watch the bread so the taste of the burger is important. I guess I could always drive to "in and out", but too much trouble.

I have always really enjoyed the filet mignon burger at the Jazz Kitchen. It's on the lunch menu for the sit-down restaurant there. I remember also once having a fairly tasty burger at the PCH Grill in PP. I wasn't impressed with my burgers at La Brea Bakery or ESPNZone, and the burgers in the parks are pretty typical theme park fare and not very exciting.

No luck here ever having a good burger, but the one at Taste Pilots Grill wasn't that bad, but nothing to rave about. I can't wait to hear some suggestions :)

We had the new burger at the Hungry Bear and we all liked it. It was definately a step up from the old dry theme park hamburgers. We got the one with chili and a big onion ring. I think the bread was some sort of wheat roll.

We were going to try the filet mignon burger at the place in DTD but they said it wasn't offered at dinner, only lunch. :sad2:

I enjoyed the burgers at HOB, but then I had a sauce and bleu cheese on the burger that made it taste really good!

I have to disagree with a previous poster - I love the burgers at ESPNZone! We go there every year for one of our favorite dinners of our trip!

You've got to find an N-Out-Burger nearby if you want one of SoCal's best burgers.

If you are looking for a good burger, please don't go to Taste Pilot's Grill!

Uva Bar in DTD has great burgers - in fact, all of their food is pretty good. It also has a nice ambience in the middle of the DTD action but without the chaos of the parks. :thumbsup2

BTW, is it just me, or is In 'n Out really just more fun to talk about than to eat? I am sure someone will flame me, but I really don't see much difference between In 'n Out and McDonald's. Yuk.

Prepare to be flamed. Yes, In and out uses fresh ground beef and their seasonings are great. As I only eat a burger plain I notice the beef. In and Out's are superior to every fast food place around.

Ok i'll get flamed too....I really can't stand In N Out. I'm a california native and grew up with a place in the Bay Area called Nations Giant hanburger. NOW THAT IS A GOOD BURGER. No wimpy patty that's too salty with disgusting sauce on it. Just a good, fat, juicy, burger!

Ok enought about that. We also enjoyed ESPN zone burgers. Not too bad. I haven't tried others in the area though, so looking forward to reading more suggestions.

I only had two burgers on our last trip and House of Blues was better than ESPN. It could have just been how busy they were. At HoB we got there right when they started serving lunch and only a few people were there and ESPN was crazy busy at dinner service our evening and my burger was dry and cold when I got it.

Yeah, my ESPN burger experience was similar. I would rather eat something else at ESPN.

I won't dicuss were my favorite burgers are because it's irrevelant to the discussion.

If I wanted a fast food burger near DL I would go to In n Out, but the OP probably lives within a mile of one and that isn't a special option to her.

As far as fresh vs frozen, it's quite possible that fresh doesn't exist at DLR so don't limit yourself by that. If it was truly fresh the menu would probably strongly point that out, but don't be confused by working like "prepared fresh". Think of it this way, have you ever hit your local grocery store when the meat is being stocked, you might notice it's all been frozen at some point.

The only indicator of a fresh burger is it is obviously hand packed and not machine pressed and cut this increased the odds greatly. Otherwise you will probably need to tour the kitchen to find out.

At DLR I truly like the Wild Blue yonder at TPG. I enjoy the rich flavors from the blue cheese and steak sauce on it. I also have enjoyed the burgers at HoB that were large and seemed right for the price considering the Disney Resort inflation.

The Wild Bleu Yonder burger used to be our favorite, but they don't have it anymore. Whatever you do, don't expect the angus burger at Tomorrowland Terrace to be worth eating -- it's not.

Since when?

I don't eat beef, but my husband had the burger (Angus beef) at Hungry Bear and said the meat was excellent. If you're looking for good beef, he said that the grilled steak skewer at Paradise Garden Grill was also really good meat. You can ask for it without sauce (or sauce on the side) if you want. Or do what we do, and ask for all four sauces if you want to try them all.

OMG I totally agree!!! Would MUCH rather have Nations than In & Out...I do not like I&O at all......altho I did enjoy the animal style fries that DD brought home once.

I :lovestruc the WBY Burger, it's my fave.....I get it without steak sauce and add tons of BBQ sauce instead. :) nom nom nom........

Ya....since when?

OP good luck finding a great burger there. I haven't found any to be freshly made but I do enjoy TPG and Sonic.

Had one early August, still on the menu. Wasn't impressed with the steak sauce though, bleu cheese was good.
